Baby cats can get pregnant very early and their birth canal is not mature enough. The kitten can get stuck in the birth canal. Young cats can die giving birth along with their babies. When Trap/Neuter/Return is done the ear is tipped so everyone can tell the cat is fixed. This is the most humane way to let the cat live but not produce more unwanted kittens. grace4dI recently tried to save a little tiny black kitten who was abandoned. Poor little one just snuggled up to my chest to get warm & maybe feel comfort? I loved her that quickly. She peacefully passed away as I held her😭. I wanted her to live tho. Someone had thrown this 3-4 week old kitten off near my mothers home & she was very skinny. I cried & cried - I’ll always try to rescue but the spray/neuter is the best way.more

clearydeanI’ve been fostering kittens my entire life, and it is a huge issue! You can find vets all over the country who will spay/neuter stray kitties for really cheap and sometimes free! They might clip their ears if they’re strays but only so the same cat doesn’t get brought in twice to get spayed/neutered! Consider fostering kittens also! There’s such a need for more fosters!

shopmessymuseI’m a HUGE advocate for cats and this same subject. Spay and neuter is SO IMPORTANT!!! It can also cause problems for these beautiful creatures later in life. I didn’t have any idea that little babies can get pregnant too???? Thank you for posting this and being an awesome person by advocating for them. shopmessymuse@grace4d This breaks my heart into a million little pieces, I’d be devastated. 🐾❤️‍🩹 I lost my baby, Alice, which is the name of my small business almost 6 months ago. Feels like just yesterday saying goodbye. She ended up with cancer..she had about 3 tumors and one got inflamed and I thought it may have been a large cyst. I went the vet and the doctor said it was a tumor. She was only 12. My best friend. So I can only imagine that baby kitten passing in your arms. I’m so sorry. 🐾❤️‍🩹

grace4d@alccreations I’m so sorry you lost ur kitty & best friend! I know that’s hard! I lost my chihuahua a year ago & it nearly broke me. He was one of 3 rescued from puppy mill but they all lived a long time one 18, one 19 and he was 20 years. If it weren’t for my cat I’d be lost. On the lookout for more pets to rescue. We just moved to Virginia so I’ll have to look into the programs they have here. We were in NM. Tc & thx for these posts!🌻🌻🌻 🐈‍⬛ 🐕 ♥️

lindseycrane706Awesome! I did this before when I lived in VT. There is currently a feral cat colony around me, but I don’t know how to help them because I can’t figure out where they congregate. Example: I want to feed them, but I don’t know where. I’ve put out food right after I saw them passing through my yard, but my landlord gets SO mad at me for doing this. I had to stop bc I was worried I would get evicted. I can’t figure out where to feed them now. 😭 Suggestions? I worry about them so much. Thanks!!
