Y2K Denim innovator, Pepe Jeans London Pepe Jeans London was founded in 1973 and was known for quality denim through the 80's. In the 90's they picked up on the urban streetwear trend and quickly became known for their loud, colorful prints, embroidery & patches on denim. As urban evolved in to a more polished street style, so did Pepe's designs. In the 2000's Pepe Jeans was one of the fist to start experimenting with button and thread proportions on jeans. Deconstructed, high-end embellishments were also important details that became gene defining.
