60’s Vintage Folkloric Boho Dress/ L/S Embroidered Trim /purple black Small

Beautiful vintage bohemian folk dress from the 1960’s. This lovely gal has some issues, sadly, —- moth holes. Welp. It’s still so beautiful that I’m hoping someone who like to sew or embroider can see past these issues and resurrect her! A cool fix could be embroidered flowers to patch over the moth holes?!! This beauty has a high mandarin style collar adorned in a lovely floral ribbon trim. A matching length of floral ribbon adorns the waist, just below a panel of grape colored purple fabric. A vertical length of the floral ribbon runs down the center of the skirt as well, flanked by alternating panels of black and purple fabric. A generous kick pleat is found at the bottom front of the dress for ease of movement. Dress has long sleeves and is longer midi to maxi length depending on your height. Zipper at back. Label: Eloise Curtis for Happenstance Lord & Taylor A faded label inside the dress shows a vintage size 11, which is more akin to a size 6. Please see flat measurements below. Shoulders: 15 1/8” Bust- 16 1/8” Waist: 14 1/2” Hips- 16 1/4” Length: 43 3/4” Outer Sleeves- 21” Inner Sleeves- 14 1/4” Fabric: not listed but I believe it is wool or wool blend. Warm and cozy! Condition: has small moth holes on bodice and occasionally here and there across dress. Perhaps you could patch, mend, or cover with cute raised embroidered flowers? Otherwise I’m good vintage condition with some wear. Would look amazing with high black boots!
