60s ADOLFO Paris Fur Hat Vintage Hat Cloche Cap 1950s 1960s

I had just been rewatching The Queens Gambit, adoring her fabulous retro style at the 1968 Moscow tournament, when I came across this gem, which would fit the scene perfectly: An excellent condition 1960s Ivory Fur / White Mink Cap by the high fashion designer Adolfo (Paris | New York). Lustrous cream colored blonde mink in stunning condition! A delight both to look at and feel. Particularly striking on dark hair. The hat has both the classic 60s style of a pillbox and the close fit of a cloche, but is brimless and rounded like a dome. The interior is lined with soft black felt wool, finished in black grossgrain ribbon. Includes two original tiny stay combs / hair combs on the interior for a secure fit. It also has two ribbon ties: I’m not sure whether these are used on the interior, worn tied under the hair in back or fastened under the chin (photo 7). I don’t see that they’re needed, but they are there to be used or removed by the next owner. SIZE: No size tag, but fits like a small: ideal for a head circumference up to 21 1/4” (estimated hat size of +\- 6 3/4). CONDITION: Exterior is perfect: clean, gorgeous, lustrous and free of any stains or defects.
