@caroline9715 hi Caroline! The dress is of a loose fit with the adjustable tie waist belt. Itโs not meant to be be โbody huggingโ โ as youโll see on the model the gathered fabric throughout the waist once the belt is secured. Thatโs the style / design. However, as per the designer details, itโs true to size.

@caroline9715 hi again! Itโs roughly 19:5โ as seen at the front, so, that number x 2 = 39โ for the waist circumference. As mentioned, donโt be frightened by those numbers, as the design is like a โshirt dressโ for which the belt is used to secure for a more fitted appearance

The dress is designed to have that โoversizedโ look which is evidenced by the pleats as seen around the waist of the model. Thatโs just the design, but yes, double check to ensure which you believe is the better option for you.
