Looking for help and feedback about altering these beauties. Let me know if you've ever tried any of these alterations before, and how it went! Jagger - turn into skirt and top Lavender Babs Mary Kate - Take sleeves off for tank dress Turquoise Babushka- Turn into skirt and top Delirium- remove neck frills Gypsy Dancer - alter to a v-neck I sew a lot, but these are too special so I'll probably send them to a professional. If you have any seamstresses you'd recommend in the US please lmk! ❤💙

blue_anemone @mosh_park I have lots of Spell alteration plans, but never do them 🥺...too afraid. A professional could do most anything. For ease at home, the Jagger should be reasonable to make into a skirt...all the channels and elastics are there already, but finishing the top section and if it’s long enough top left over may be tricky...just my 2 cents. Good luck! 😊❤️

nmcnaughtan @mosh_park I do exactly those kinds of alterations to almost all of my spell. And I also took the sleeves off my lavender babs playdress. I made them permanent fringe just because I liked how fun it looks but it would be easy to tailor them to professional standards. And your idea with the babs turquoise is the same one I had if I ever found one in my price range.

alliefromal I’ve seen the Jagger dress altered to a skirt a few times. That seems to turn out great and it makes me think about doing the same to mine!

vivalavieve11 I made GD strappy a v neck too, love that look way more. just unbuttoned top button and cut away extra fabric, folded in and sew down. I also sewed shut the rest of the button down area so they don't pucker

chill3333 I always alter my spell!!! I’ve got a few seamstress contacts where are you in the US? what state? You definitely have to trust someone and get a good one but all those alterations are doable. And when I alter them I love them and wear them so much more

anacolette I alter most of my Spell as well. I'm short and I want it to fit properly for what we pay. Researched a lot before finding someone I like and trust. What part of the US are you in?

jrm1204 I’m planning on altering my delirium. I want to remove the frills and take it up so the arm holes are not so large and make the dress shorter! I haven’t done it yet, but others on the spell pages have done it:)

mosh_park @alliefromal Yes, that's probably the most common alteration I've seen! I have a high waist so don't mind a shorter top, but will keep that in mind! 💕

chill3333 @mosh_park Yes there’s a beautiful lady in Australia who does fantastic work. But I also have a lady who used to work on spell alterations. Just spell she knows the fabric the cuts everything, here in Newport Beach. She doesn’t do it full-time anymore but sometimes she will still work on pieces I can give you her info but I’ll do it privately.

chill3333 @mosh_park yes that’s who I use in OZ, she’s wonderful! but I am scared too. I have about eight pieces I would love for her to alter and change. But some of them are vintage and I’ve searched for years for them and if they got lost in the mail I’d be devastated.

whimsidiculous Aloha lovely 😘I’m in the process right now of turning the jagger into a skirt🌺When the jagger is finished, I’ll do a posting with all my different alterations. I’ve turned all of my dahlia jumpsuits into pants and many others babs, juniper,etc🌈All the fabric I’m saving to do my own patch work kimono 🌺 It’s so fun to add your own flare to spell😘
