Old woven piece of carpet turned into a carpet bag. Spring action frame opens and closes bag. Outside pocket w/old linen vintage feed sack lining inside. Measuring 18” length by 16” wide. Will hold plenty of goodies. I’ve added some extra threads to fix any mishaps you may have later. Patches will only add to unique piece.

poshmarkjs Hi, - did you create this piece? If so, you likely know that that what you have here is a bag made from a mid 1800's piece of grain carpeting (c1850-70s). They were woven in strips of whatever width the loom was & I've seen lengths as long as 18'. They were sewn together directly in the room for 'wall to wall carpeting', & used as runners as well. I once came across an antique photo of Abraham Lincoln sitting in a chair showing grain carpet on the floor - wall to wall. Cool bag!
