colin716 I had a question about the hosts and what they base their picks on, maybe you can help me? I was in a party last night and I noticed 2 of the hosts picked items that were clearly replicas. One of the hosts actually picked 5 items that were replicas.... I’m a little frustrated that these illegal items are getting promoted. Who’s picking these people to be hosts? You would think they would be knowledgeable about these things 🙄

thedealmama @rjones2325 FYI about party hosts... when a party host shares thier first 100 items to a poshmark party, this item is automatically given host pick status. This is the main function of party hosts, to encourage and uplift other sellers, they are not actually supposed to be experts in the category or brands, because it’s an entirely voluntary position. We don’t get paid. The requirements are entirely based on community engagement, because that’s the job.

thedealmama @meljoi29 hi! I suggest you read the poshmark FAQ, it’s under the accounts tab on my app but you may have to poke around to find it. There are lots of answers there, including the fact that during any posh party (there are four each day) you can share your items to the party using the share button. Everyone was new once, feel free to ask people questions. Have a nice day!

thedealmama @rjones2325 posh hosts are not chosen by expertise though. They get chosen based on community engagement, because host picks are thier job. You don’t need to understand plus sizes to know how to share and how to comment nicely and how to encourage sales. That’s the job. And it’s to posh’s benefit if the party host doesn’t have any plus sized items to share because then they have more host pick spaces available for the community. This is why. 🤗
