I should've been better at spotting fakes on Posh because I went into a retail store in February 2020 last year and tried on a pair of Dr. Marten's Molly boots and remembered some details about them from when I tried them on. You know Mollys and Jadons are similar. Anyway that's really what clued me in that there were a lot of fakes listed on Posh. But the pandemic has scrambled my brain a little. LOL

soappups@itsmichelleg66 hello! And yes they are authentic! “10072” is an older boot. From what I’ve read it’s “milled” leather which means it’s sorta a cross between “patent “ and “smooth”. It’s a really nice boot IMO

itsmichelleg66@soappups I sure hope you’re right! should it feel so plasticy? It doesn’t feel like leather and I own different dr marten boots and these feel quite cheap. The soles also feel light and the insoles are a little sloppy - IMO. let me share some more photos. I just don’t want to open a case if I’m wrong, and I definitely don’t want to keep them if they’re not authentic, let alone not leather 😬

soappups@hannahbelleliza hi, those are authentic, but there’s a reason they don’t show the women’s size “8”. These are men’s sizing. For women’s, they are best for 8.5 for sure. Docs made in LAO PDR always run half size big. They are better made IMO. I have a pair of normal 1460s made there and they are my most worn black pair.

huntermarisa77I wish I had seen these before I was duped last week. I was going to resale them when I noticed they were fake. The sole was wrong,, they were light and the stitching was terrible. Also the shoe size was not on the inside of shoe. The seller never even apologized or offered a refund.

soappups@edgarg hello. Yes, those are authentic. The “UK5” pair BUT.. those are mens sizing. Which means will fit a womens 7.5 more. You can tell by the size boxes. There is a 6 in the mens “box” but the womens “box” is empty. If both “boxes” have a number then it’s “unisex” size. If just the womens “box” has a number then it’s womens sizing.

soappups@shemhazai they are nice, MIE docs (made in England) always have a little uneven stitching. They are steeltoe, womens 8. I recommend getting insoles, the “comfort insoles “ from dm site are on sale now too. I use them in almost all my pairs (Sinclair’s, Jadon, hell, heaven & coralia) they help a ton, without them they’d be too uncomfortable to wear for sure (if the insoles are too thick, get “classic insoles” they are thinner and still do a great job keeping your feet from wanting to kill you.

I find them very true to to size. If they feel big, it’s too much room around feet inside, add an insole (dm comfort insole) and that fixes the problem perfectly

soappups@clutterclear you’re very sweet! If you ever wonder about how to price, look up “just added” and “sold” listings to see the most recent prices. That helps a ton. Resellers look for things priced too cheap, then lowball even more, then resell at 3x-5x as much. I understand profit, I just hate greed, and dishonesty. Selling is harder now than ever. That’s why I don’t do it much anymore. And I use M, cheaper fees, and have options for cheaper shipping rates. (Best for items under 2lbs) 😊

I’m not entirely sure on “juniors size” but I’ve not seen them with zippers. Ask to see the “size tag” and if there is a “J” after the style number, then I’m correct. Like this “1460J”

doggystylzby6In addition, the fake Jadons or any fake Docs don't have stitching along the outside of the eyelets, they're flimsy and rubbery. I've been wearing Doc's since the early 80s. I still have my first pair (legit Oxblood 10 eyes) and they're VERY different and would be assumed to be fakes because the tags are printed not stitched ICO. There are so many styles it's hard to spot a fake these days, they've gotten so good. I love that you're taking one for the team. Thank you

soappups@dontworry742 Get your normal size. I’m a 7.5 and need an 8 for sure. My toes touch the end in a 7. (I used to wear 7s that’s why I know) and I’ve had/still have some docs in both sizes.

soappups@soappups Don’t pay over 100$ for new condition docs. Always search “just in” when looking. That’s how you’ll find the best deals. The low priced ones go very quickly, so check often. 😉😉

soappups@dontworry742 Might be 😞 if you are closer to a size 9 then definitely need a 9. Laos made in size 8 are bigger than any others made in same size. Do your toes touch the end? It also may be you need to break them in, those were like new correct?

soappups@dontworry742 The size 8 and size 9 (on official Dr martens site) say they are the same width. 3 1/2 inches wide. So that won’t change with a 9. The 9 is 10.5 inches length. 8 is 10 inches length

soappups@dontworry742 If your toes don’t touch the end, put on the thickest socks you have and wear them around the house for a little while each day, to try to break them in. It took me a month to get my yellow 1460s broken in. Docs style is awesome, but they totally suck for comfort…at least in my personal experience. 😞

soappups@dontworry742 Yeah, they are gorgeous! You have to break them in. Sadly it is super painful for some and easy for others. Depends on individuals I think. One person I met in here bought white Jadon NEW, and wore them to a 3 day rave party. Didn’t bring other shoes. Needless to say, she hates those boots. Traded them (to me for another pair of docs, not Jadon)

I was actually going to wear these to work, but decided not since I’ve heard how much they hurt if they’re not broken in, thank goodness I didn’t, i could barely handle 30 mins let alone 7-8 hrs 😨 but would insoles would you recommend? I bought socks from them years ago, they are guaranteed for life… even if you lose one 🤣 but they cost me $30 a pair. Give them a call and see if they have insoles
