@dumbblonde827 Hi Audrey, I thought you would find these videos on YouTube interesting (there are many more videos, yet these are the best) 💕. I used to share other Posher’s closets (which I realize now was a waste of time), now I only share my own 😊

@dumbblonde827 You’re welcome! I first learned about this when I attended PoshFest in 2019. Had to watch videos w/ proof to really believe it. It makes sense why community shares are encouraged - it’s window shopping which can make people buy stuff & Posh gets 20%...
Jan 20Reply

alwaysposhible
@dumbblonde827 I sent out a survey with all my sales to gather some info. One question was how they found me/my item(s) they purchased. ALL of them said it was from conducting a search. So...good descriptions, keywords & self-sharing the key 🔑 for SEO (search engine optimization)

@shoe_coach_101 I thought you’d find these YouTube videos enlightening (they’re the best 3 of the ones I’ve seen). The fact that community sharing is a waste of time was 1st told to me at PoshFest 2019 😳. I’ve also sent surveys to my new customers & the answer has always been the same: they found my closet item(s) via a search. An interesting discovery!

@xtragoround It has totally transformed my life! Self-sharing is definitely advantageous for the seller (YOU), yet community shares is encouraged with the hope of YOU buying - which, in turn, helps Poshmark gain their 20% cut. Community shares = window shopping 🛍 😉. The proof is in the videos 🎥 on YouTube.

@sherrysalemi61 Hi Sherry 👋! Yes, this is still true. The current Posh algorithm is based on “recently listed” + “self shared”. If you have any items that aren’t selling due to being stale, re-list it by EDIT - COPY LISTING & then delete the old listing.

@imfreekinrad You’re welcome, Ashley! Manish (CEO) comes from a small neighborhood, so he developed “Community Shares” in an effort to build a community in Poshmark. Nice intent, yet I can communicate with my PFFs without sharing their stuff 😂. Now it’s a requirement to share closets in an effort to become an Ambassador II, yet I haven’t experienced 𝙖𝙣𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 different/better by being an Ambassador II 🙃
~ ⭐️𝓐𝓵𝔀𝓪𝔂𝓼𝓟𝓸𝓼𝓱𝓲𝓫𝓵𝓮❤️
Jan 07Reply

imfreekinrad
@alwaysposhible that’s interesting!! I haven’t bothered to switch to ambassador II (still have to list about 25 more items to unlock it) because I never noticed a difference with ambassador either except the ability to host posh parties. Now that I think about it, co hosting those never made a difference for me either, maybe a couple sales from the 7 I’ve done. Never thought about how none of this has been beneficial 😬
