happy new year celebratory VINTAGE 80’s BLACK, RUST, ROSEWOOD & PURPLE SUEDE;SEQUIN & KNIT DIAGONAL PANELS WIDE ROUND NECK w LONG DOLMAN SLEEVES & V NOTCHED SWEEP PULLOVER. saianneward @biannti Hi - I've been looking for a Gianfranco Ferrer top - this is so unique and beautiful! My concern is with the fit at hips. The top part at 54" would be plenty, but I need hip size of 42" and it says slim fit at hips. Is the fabric stretchy? Or, could it be worn so that bottom part of top is up higher - kind of a crumpled look. I know design is to make a smooth crisscross of stripes. Have wasted so much $ on online clothing purchases that I wind up not being able to wear. Thx for any info

biannti @saianneward HI S I will measure the hip for u tonite, but, you are right, it is a cooler look when u hike it up a bit-to HI hip, depending on you-it holds becuz it is slim. be bk w the msr.

biannti @saianneward hello savanna sorrowful news, when I measure across or both legs of the v sweep, I get 38". S, 4 OFF OF YOUR HIP MSR...how high would you like it scrunched and what do you measure there?

saianneward @biannti Well, I think it will definitely be a lower edge scrunch, then. Even if fabric were somewhat stretchy, that would still be quite a bit. I just love this top so much! I did an image search, and found a version from 1983 that was orange instead of purple, with other colors black, rust, etc. It wasn't for sale - just a fun reference. But your top, with the purple, is gorgeous! If I decide to try it, I might have to wait til Dec 2 to make offer when I get Christmas bonus $.

saianneward That's funny - I have things listed on real real too, and also thredup. I wish the process to get paid moved faster, as I'd have some bucks now! Maybe they'll show up soon, but if not, hope you can hang onto it for a few more days. I really think I'd like it and am willing to wear it up higher. If I can scrounge the $ sooner rather than later, I will.

saianneward @biannti I realized I didn't see your reply as to fabric being stretchy - did I miss it? I need it at least somewhat stretchy. it looks like the bands at hip area are suede, which wouldn't be stretchy, right? may be back is? I got a tape measure and measured 38" on me - I really need stretchy for it to work, even crumpled.

saianneward The more I think about it, the more I think I should pass on it and let you send it to wherever you had planned. I'm trying to will it to be something other than what it is because I like it so much. I told myself I wasn't going to buy anything else with fit issues, because I wind up not wearing it. You've been SO helpful in working with me, but I just have this feeling I shouldn't chance it and I'm not going to be able to offer that much, regardless of bonus. Thanks again.

saianneward DISREGARD my last comment! I tried to find way to erase it but can't. I was just able to find this top on another platform, and it gave more sizing and fabric info. I do want it! Sorry - I'm not usually this wishy-washy! I found a way to place my offer now and will reimburse myself with my bonus.
