groovyjaneeThank you for this!!! I’ve gotten a fake RP dress before. So infuriating. Thanks sister!

Aug 25Reply

explodinggreenPlease send me a list, I too have fallen victim to the fake.

3 days agoReply

Is this listing inappropriate? Report Listing

jennawagnerThis is such good info! I definitely bought a fake Capulet off eBay after comparing the care tag on one that I got direct from Realisation 😩

Jul 02Reply

queenofacey@jennawagner i’m sorry that happened to you, i’ve also bought a fake myself in the past 😔 so frustrating

Jul 02Reply

steph1593Hi! Would you mind sharing the list of sellers you think may be selling fakes with me?

Jul 02Reply

queenofacey@steph1593 ofc, please PM me in a bundle

Jul 02Reply

shopsebandson@rebekahdorothy omg same please!! On e b a y Thomasandco Minicurates And elements2hot sell fakes!!!!!

Jul 02Reply

jennawagnerI’m pretty sure I got a fake from 2jconnects321 on e bay!

Jul 02Reply

cutepoojiLearnt this one the hard way :( please share the list of fake sellers and thank you ♥️

Jul 02Reply

mrsruby322This is happening with Zimmermann too! There are several sellers with dozens/hundreds of RP/Zimmermann/FL&L pieces with the same stock photos, the items are hastily thrown on dress forms with packing wrinkles and sold for under $500/50-70% off retail. It's maddening and I've stopped buying these brands on these platforms. I confronted one seller and she spammed me for two days until I blocked her. It's ridiculous.

Jul 02Reply

queenofacey@mrsruby322 realisation, reformation, zimmerman, fl&l 😞😞😞 all these sellers who have unusually high stock for way less than retail all FAKE....it’s either replicas OR stolen from factories in china 👎🏼👎🏼

Jul 02Reply

marebear19Thanks for this! So glad the skirt I bought recently checks out, but it’s a great reminder to double check

Jul 02Reply

avarobert@rebekahdorothy does it have to say tm on the care tag and size tag ?

Jul 06Reply

queenofacey@avarobert no, i have found the TM is inconsistent on styles. older styles like alexandra doesn’t have it while most newer styles do

Jul 06Reply

avarobert@rebekahdorothy ok i have the violette and the long one with cherry

Jul 06Reply

lizblanfordI’ve been wondering how certain sellers will sell like 5+ of the same dress

Jul 06Reply

nells@lizblanford 😳😳😳😳

Jul 07Reply

kslcrnThanks for this info. I literally just saw a fake listed and the only reason I didn’t buy it was because of this info you shared. 🙏🏻💗

Jul 14Reply

queenofacey@kslcrn i’m so glad i could help 🤍

Jul 14Reply

per5lalegit one should be made in Austria, right? Just received an order that's made in China

Jul 18Reply

queenofacey@per5la no, they are made in china.

Jul 18Reply

per5la@rebekahdorothy thanks for confirming!

Jul 19Reply

per5la@rebekahdorothy you think there exists legit ones without the TM for Trademark on the label?

Jul 19Reply

queenofacey@per5la the TM isn’t consistent - some of the older styles don’t have it while some newer styles do. what dress is jt?

Jul 19Reply

per5la@rebekahdorothy Alexandra. just noticed none of the Alexandras on Posh have TMs either. should be legit then.

Jul 19Reply

shoesgal89Thanks for sharing this. This is really helpful!!

Aug 05Reply

tlong16@jnoh3 I purchased from elements2hot and am trying to return because I think it is fake too 😭

Aug 11Reply

shopsebandson@tlong16 crossing my fingers for you girl, I just bought an alba on eBay and the wash tag is really suspicious so I’m going through it too 😭 scammers are the WORST

Aug 11Reply

tlong16@jnoh3 they truly are! Good luck! ♥️

Aug 11Reply

aayusovThank you for posting this ❤️ do you mind sharing the list of fake sellers please?

Aug 14Reply

aayusov@rebekahdorothy thank you!!

Aug 19Reply

ginanaps21thanks for sharing.. it's honestly gotten so out of control on here, I wish posh would take it seriously and crack down on accoubts selling obvious fakes

Aug 20Reply

darlascottageI’ve never heard of that brand...it’s interesting how some brands are popular in some parts of the country & not so much in others!

Aug 23Reply

lainiec@rebekahdorothy I was sold a fake by esk7

Aug 27Reply

queenofacey@lainiec oh nooo i hope you were able to file a claim to return 😔 i’ve added them to my list and reported!

Aug 27Reply

lainiec@rebekahdorothy yes thankfully I just got my refund this morning!!! Idk what to do with the dress tho lol

Aug 27Reply

queenofacey@desertblues added to my list, thanks for letting me know. hope you were able to return!

Sep 07Reply

baseball_jenThank you! I've only ever purchased directly off the site & could easily fall victim to this type of ... well bs! Im a big Spell fan too & there is a group on F B that helps anyone who thinks they may have bought a fake! It took a minute to learn the details & I appreciate you sharing esp. re: fonts, etc. They're easy to miss! Much appreciated! 😊

Sep 10Reply

sunnykxg@rebekahdorothy lynnstudio19 also sourced a lot of her dresses from Taobao grey market (factory overstock) shops. A common practice among those shops is that they would slightly cut the main Reformation label with a small hole! Those dresses are going for $50-70 on Taobao / Aliexpess but she’s selling them for $200+! She also reported me for calling her out and is completely unethical!!! Buyers please be aware.

Sep 24Reply

jennx3c@rebekahdorothy I don’t appreciate you saying I sell fake stuff; I’ve never bought on Taobap or AliExpress. I, myself, have purchased fake / counterfeit items but I don’t list those items..I take them as a loss. Please have your facts straight before you call out sellers who are doing this as a side hobby.

Sep 25Reply

queenofacey@jennx3c i have seen you post several items that are counterfeit i.e. the naomi in karma. maybe you didn’t know? sure, that i cannot comment on. i go off of other users’ reports too. thanks.

Sep 25Reply

esk7Hi, I've been informed that you have been blacklisting me for being a seller of fake items. I did buy a fake realisation dress on poshmark, although I did not know it was fake since it was my first dress from them. I resold the item on poshmark, at which time I learned it was fake. Poshmark reimbursed both my buyer and myself for the entire unfortunate situation. I have learned my lesson there and now rigorously check the propriety of items that I would buy on poshmark before I reposh them

Sep 25Reply

esk7While I appreciate your initiative in warning sellers about unethical sellers, I would appreciate you, @rebekahdorothy, doing more research before making broad-sweeping judgments about my character (that of others) and spreading unchecked vitriol to your followers.

Sep 25Reply

esk7@rebekahdorothy

Sep 25Reply

queenofacey@esk7 i do plenty of research on who i am calling out with screenshots to back up my claims. you are not on my original list but rather someone brought up recently. but sure thanks for letting us know here.

Sep 25Reply

esk7@lainiec yes,it was unfortunate. I bought that item from poshmark, and did not know it was fake. Poshmark reimbursed both you and myself for the entire unfortunate situation. The original seller has been accordingly punished.

Sep 25Reply

esk7@rebekahdorothy yes, I see that now. I apologize for my terseness of tone. Again, I do think you're doing important work in publicizing unethical sellers. Thank you.

Sep 25Reply

marianaffloresIt’s so sad! I just saw so many relisted that are fake, the letter of the size tag doesn’t match the real Realisation par.

Oct 24Reply

kittycatamber@rebekahdorothy Hey! Is there a way I can PM? I was wondering if I could get your advice on a seller who's selling a ton of ref & realisation pieces :)

Nov 26Reply

alinadujourhi thank you so much for this resource! ❤️ have you noticed if the authentic care tags always have “Made in China” written with a capitalized C for China instead of a lowercase C? a dress I bought from Real Par’s site has a capitalized C but it’s a newer style, and an older style I’m looking at buying from an online seller has a lowercase C.

Dec 03Reply

wongwaydriver@alinadujour ya, I second this question. The fakes can be so convincing, it’s hard to tell just based on if the font is “too bold” sometimes. I’d like some more pics of authentic care tags for comparison.

Dec 11Reply

queenofacey@alinadujour @wongwaydriver i’ll post some of my own care tags purchased directly from realisation tomorrow 😊 it’s actually inconsistent, some have lower case c while some have capital.

Dec 12Reply

irlanda8Oh no, I bought a Rouje dress and realisation par dress from minicurates and jpconnects. I still have them in my closet because I didn’t like the fit. But now I know that it’s a fake. Thanks to those that posted their names. I spent good money because I trusted them. I usually buy from brand sites and never on e bay. I will never buy on e bay again!

Dec 18Reply

lavendr_honeyHi Love, thanks for all of this info! I believe I just purchased a fake Alba dress. Are you familiar at all with that style? @rebekahdorothy

Jan 28Reply

lavendr_honey@jnoh3 Hi Love, I was wondering about your Alba dress, because I'm pretty sure I just purchased a fake. Did yours happen to have darts on the bodice?

Jan 28Reply

shopsebandson@lavendr_honey mine is fake and no it doesn’t! Wanna send me pics of the dress? I’m on Instagram @noh__jihyun

Jan 28Reply

lavendr_honey@jnoh3 the seller just responded that she didn't know it was fake because she bought it from a consignment shop! so at least I'll get my money back. thanks for offering to look though!

Jan 28Reply

shopsebandson@lavendr_honey omg! What a wonderful seller!!! That’s awesome of her most people are just rude about it and want to take money from a scam. I’m happy for you! ❤️❤️ I got scammed and I spent 160 on a fake dress and I’m so livid

Jan 28Reply

lavendr_honey@jnoh3 eek, I'm so sorry! it's especially hard to tell if you've never purchased directly from the brand so it's all just guessing! I have another realisation par dress I'm fairly certain is authentic, but it's still hard to tell. the fit seems a little weird but that could just be the dress idk lol.

Jan 28Reply

shopsebandson@lavendr_honey oh FYI realisation par fitting is like inconsistent across the board. I was really obsessed and bought the Alexandra dresses in all the colors three were from the actual website and even though they were all smalls they fit different!!!!!!

Jan 28Reply

lavendr_honey@jnoh3 wow gotcha. thanks for the heads up!!!

Jan 28Reply

littleangelsusa@doubleeye

Feb 28Reply

erin293Do you know if on the real ones the C in China can also be lowercase?

Mar 08Reply

radratna@erin293 I think she answered that question up above. Some have lowercase and some are capitalized I think. But so so many fakes in this platform so be careful!

Mar 08Reply

erin293@radratna right thanks I saw that, yeah I have a couple from their website which are capital and then some from posh which are not so just wanted to make sure :)

Mar 08Reply

stargazermz@awlayna

Jun 01Reply

xnatalienicolex@tlong16 hi! just came across this post and was wondering if you were able to return it and get your money back? i ordered from them yesterday before finding this post so i’m scared i got a fake :(

Jun 14Reply

oohlalathriftHi! I recently bought a realisation dress second hand and I was wondering if you could tell me if it was real or not? Thank you so much!

Jun 21Reply

queenofacey@oohlalathrift sure!

Jun 24Reply

queenofacey@erin293 sorry for the delayed response. yes the capitalized “c” is inconsistent across the care tags. i added some examples. :)

Jun 24Reply

pebiumHi! Would you say that you could easily tell a realisation/reformation/with Jean is fake once you physically have it? Wondering if I ever got unlucky and bought a fake, if I would be able to immedietely tell from the quality and open a case. Thank you for spreading this info, I had no idea this was something to worry about.

Jun 27Reply

ohaiclaire@rebekahdorothy hej, so i just bought the Christie dress in sunflower from a seller. I asked her for the original receipt but she said it’s been a long time since she had it. But she told me she would ship it with the original bag that it came with (the tote you know) So today it arrived

Jun 29Reply

ohaiclaireThe size tag look quite off - it’s a medium but the letter (M ) is quite small in comparison to the rp label next to it. Also the fabric feels really plasticy- i assumed it would be rougher and more textured like the other Christie dresses. But it’s super shiny and has a bit of texture. And it really doesn’t feel like silk. Is it supposed to be like that ? Do you think I just bought a fake ?

Jun 29Reply

queenofacey@pebium i would say no because sometimes these sellers are selling over productions of the originals and getting them from the same factory that they are made in. so it technically could be the same fabric, but not the authentic brand name.

Jun 29Reply

queenofacey@ohaiclaire i’m sorry i actually don’t own any christie dresses so i can’t compare :( if it feels off, it probably is!

Jun 29Reply

pebium@rebekahdorothy ah, I see. Thank you for putting up with all of us haha!

Jun 29Reply

pretty_basic_Are there multiple “do not remove tags” ? I see a lot of listings with both side red tags but mine all had one white side. IDK

Jul 01Reply

queenofacey@pretty_basic_ no there is only one long red “do not remove tag”

Jul 02Reply

refinecloset188Can anyone help me out? I just got an order and it was in a plastic bag with realisation logo but it’s not ziplock style. Never seen non-ziplock style plastic bag when I buy stuff from realisation. Also the “don’t remove” red tag is attached on the left side but I thought it’s always attached on the right side.

Jul 29Reply

king_shayyy@esk7 you're fake

Aug 19Reply

esk7@king_shayyy one item I sold was indeed fake, although I did not realize it at the time. I was reposting the item. Poshmark dealt with the initial seller accordingly and reimbursed me and my buyer. I have learned my lesson and have not allowed any fake items to enter my closet or to be sold since.

Aug 19Reply

niniguoElement2hot sells fake dresses

Sep 20Reply

saintsmallThank you!!

Oct 23Reply

unfetteredvoice@niniguo I just want to say thank you for sharing this information, as I ALMOST fell prey to purchasing a fake Inez recently. So glad I checked this post and a few others first. They look so convincing.

Dec 18Reply

niniguo@mkaspz you are welcome. Check the official website, they have 25% off sometimes. At least you have a peace of mind by purchasing from the official website.

Dec 21Reply

fiona324Can I send a picture of the tags to see if the one I got is fake?

Dec 24Reply

betsyosoriohi, thank you for the information! also could you please help me check if the item I purchased is original Realisation? I'll get it in 4 days.

Dec 24Reply

jenniferlienI think I just bought a fake one - I have real ones and compared ughhhh the material is totally diff

Jan 25Reply

tiny_violins@rebekahdorothy hi! Could you please dm me that list? Thank you.

Feb 18Reply

brianaaa_banana@laurennerual can anyone here tell me if the one I purchased is real it came with no black realisation tag 😳

Feb 19Reply

queenofacey@brianaaa_banana did it fall off or get cut off? there should always be a black tag.

Feb 19Reply

brianaaa_banana@rebekahdorothy I’m being told it got cut off.. I have pictures of the dress on my page

Feb 19Reply

lune_de_mars@candace_more Hey! did you already check this out?

May 25Reply

lovedagainstyle@kikkipoe yes I’ve been looking at it with much vehemence 🤓

May 25Reply

michaelscarn_Anyone know if linlinscloset sells fakes?

Jul 28Reply

perezmay@michaelscarn_ hi, I just bought the paradiso dress from the closet you mentioned and I think it’s fake. I’m going through Poshmark to verify bc there’s a few things off with it. Not sure if you’ve already purchased something and had a similar experience.

Aug 16Reply

kshnuHi! THANK YOU so much for doing this!! I’m sure you’re bombarded with requests but can you share the list of suspected sellers with me please?

Sep 19Reply

chrissieclothes@lainiec I just received my package, accepted and then realized something was off with the tags. It’s a fake reformation dress. I wrote to Poshmark customer service. I hope i get my refund. Did you accept the order previously or did you contact Customer Service before accepting? :( I’m so sad! And did they give you a refund refund or credits? :’(

Oct 18Reply

chrissieclothes@jnoh3 I just barely accepted the order and minutes later realized the Reformation tags are way off :( I wrote to customer service and I’m praying I get refunded!!!

Oct 18Reply

samaralala@chrissieclothes did you get that refund babe? Reeeeally wondering if PM cares at all about being a counterfeit paradise 🤔

Jan 09Reply

bekahloss3I bought a Naomi skirt in the daisy print, but can’t find the “for real” anywhere in the fabric. Do you know if it’s supposed to have that somewhere?

Apr 27Reply

tangamy24Hi! Do you know if the “s” in silk is always lowercase on authentic pieces?

May 11Reply

3wishes16Hi! Thanks so much for posting this. I want to buy something from choi_sophs on d-e-p-o-p, do you know if this seller is safe?

Jul 28Reply

prettyangel222If the care tag is longer than usual is it fake or real?

Apr 17Reply

prettyangel222is the s capitalized in silk if it’s real?

Apr 18Reply

queenofacey@athenatigani lmao tell that to the hundreds of people who have told me this post helped them identify replicas :)

May 13Reply

ubuhannahI reposh a couple things now and then but everything that's not reposhed on my page was purchased directly from the clothing brand :) take a look at my page for some authentic réalisation!

May 16Reply

divyabhuvara463Hi! Are you positive there's no mini dress version of the Ivy in Eden? I just bought one and it's also missing a care tag, so I'm really worried. Thank you!!

Aug 08Reply

queenofacey@divyabhuvara463 there’s no mini version. unless maybe they hemmed the original

Aug 09Reply

bluckyduckI just posted one on my closet that I just purchased from another posher. She said the care tag was removed because of itchiness. Do you think it's a fake?

Dec 30Reply

cris_caGreat resource! Thanks for sharing! I purchased a fake Reformation piece unfortunately before seeing this.

Jan 21Reply

mariafl837I bought two realisation par dresses on the internet second hand and I would like to know if they are real or fake? How can I do it? Could you help me?

Feb 23Reply

maisoncleoirisholy cow i think someone here is selling a fake one the care tag seems to have large tm

Mar 17Reply

tudorloI looked at your info posted here which is amazing, but I still ended up with a fake realisation ana hearts top. One thing to consider is the identification number on the back of the tag. All of my authentic items from realisation par have a number code on the back. The fake Ana top I received from the seller has a tag that is sloppily sewn on the seam not inside the seam. Her front part of the label looked real and I was deceived. Ask for more pictures before buying!

Jun 28Reply

dandeliongirl15Thank you so much!! I bought a fake and so sad about it

Jul 10Reply

dandeliongirl15@tudorlo I just received a fake and it has a po number on the back. Someone sent me a photo of their real dress and it was a different po number! So even if it has a po number it could still be fake!
