Fakes are getting better my friends🥺Now that the scammers have added footbed pics & parts of the boxes they will allow you to see—let’s look a bit deeper—or should I say: more superficially. Pics #2–#13 found while perusing this site. Folks, YOU SHOULD NOT SEE GLUE—PARTICULAR LARGE GAPING GLUE LINES THAT RUN THE ENTIRE LENGTH BETWEEN THE SOLE & UPPER. These are “shining” examples of FAKES—straight from our friend: China. Pic #14-16 show a few authentic ones for comparison. See any glue? Nope.

botablu @mellifluity8 Hey there hun. Oh a few sellers—that mostly all connect back to one seller—who is/are probably now the largest Birk seller on here. They’re flying off the shelves as fast as they’re listed—most of those in the pics are now sitting in some posh buyers closet. “Sold.” “Sold.” “Sold.”... Great reviews. And most—if not all—they’re selling are FAKES....

botablu @ida_santillan Hi there! I don’t think it’s professional, allowed, nor do I want to create potential legal implications for myself. If you use the tips I’ve provided—especially and including part I regarding price points; part II: the fact they’re not showing the entire UPC on boxes, & these pics that show glue—I’m hoping folks can figure it out. I have taken actions to hopefully have Posh take care of this. Problem is, even if/when they shut one down—another one pops up.

botablu @leximae09 Ugh. Sorry to hear that. If it’s within 3 hours you can cancel. Or if not, you can open a case for return when you get them—but do not ‘accept”—if you believe they are in fact replicas. Fakes like these & similar are being sold all over—not just this site. It’s worse than I’ve ever seen it—very unfortunately.

botablu @leximae09 You’re welcome! Yeah, I raise an eyebrow at any/all of those proclamations. If they look like the pictures above with glue—they are replicas—that’s not even debatable. I suppose if those protestations are real—some will convince themselves of just about anything to save a buck. DE-NIAL ain’t just a river in Egypt! 😬 Lol!

ariestocratic Hi there! I recently saw a pair of Mayari birks on posh and the metal buckle said, “Birkenstock” on them. But the Mayari on the Birkenstock’s website say “birken” and “birk” on the buckles. I was wondering if that means that they’re fake or if they were just a different model that I’m unaware of. Thanks for the help! ❤️

botablu @ariestocratic Hi! No, the buckle can say “Birkenstock”, “Birken” or Birk”—all dependent on the size of the buckle.

ariestocratic @botablu I saw a brown Mayari and it said “Birkenstock” across the whole buckle which I found weird because the straps are thinner than the Arizona’s. The short abbreviations like “birk” and “birken” make sense and are evidently printed on the Mayari ones on the Birkenstock site. But since the whole tiny mayari buckle was able to say “Birkenstock” on it, something felt off.

botablu @ariestocratic Almost all my Mayari’s say “Birken”; one says “Birk”. Does seem strange to be able to fit that on those buckles.

hlingenfelter I too have bought many times from this user. I can say with certainty that they are real. My local Authorized birk retailer inspected them. The reason why they are so cheap from this user is because they're from Tennessee. if I'm not mistaken there's a huge outlet there, warehouse size, that sells misfits(extra glue, minor defects in cork, tried on, floor models, etc.) He sells so many and at a reasonable price to not keep a huge inventory (my best guess).
