OBVIOUSLY NOT FOR SALE. My previous posts on lululemon align fakes were taken down because the scammers were trying to silence me from letting you guys know that you’re being scammed. So Posh took their side and deleted my posts that would help others looking for authentic lululemon aligns. Therefore, I’m making this and trying to explain as best as I can how you can spot fakes. Please pay attention to @laylavubecker post on how to spot fakes in general. BEST POST EVER. The info is amazing!

ngocnguyen1994@loversnote hi there!! Tag me in the pics when you post it on Posh and I can check for you!

yordanicubanii think @glitterublog would benefit from this. just bought leggings which are clearly dupes from her -she adamantly refused and I’m guessing doesn’t want to be marked as selling fakes. Poshmark took her side -as you said, hard to prove … and now I’m stuck with them. Very unfortunate -I wish I would have seen this post earlier! I have had mostly great experiences on Poshmark-this one soured me though. Off to the donation pile they go :(

ngocnguyen1994@beaches0 thanks girl! It’s alright :) I’m not too peeved about it. I just want to make sure that others know. Because we know aligns but others won’t be able to tell the difference so it’s just really sad to see fakes and scammers popping up all the time and people falling for it! I’m not worried about US being scammed, just others! 🥰🥰

marrisanicholeI purchased a pair of aligns today on merc that might be fake. I paid A LOT for them but the same girl recently posted them on here now too. The size dot reads LW5AMOSZ40218. I think I may have been scammed. Is there a way to tell if they are fake by the numbers on the size dot?

Apr 24Reply

ngocnguyen1994@marrisanichole hmmm that’s very interesting. The information you gave me for the size dot, you need to go to a site called lulufanatics and put in W5AMOS in the search bar. When you put that in, that’s actually the style code for the Train Times 7/8 Pant, not aligns??? It does match to a lululemon item ... just not aligns!

Apr 24Reply

marrisanichole@ngocnguyen1994 thank you so much, I’ll have to check it out! It just worries me that the girl is now posting them on here too after I just bought them from her on merc. She also deleted and took down the picture of the size dot shortly after I asked for it. One girl messaged me and said she thought they might be fake because the stitching in the back didn’t have the “v” shape that aligns normally have.

Apr 24Reply

marrisanichole. I’m not sure if this girl sold me fakes, or if she’s just uneducated on the different styles lululemon sells. I still have the opportunity to cancel the sale tonight before she ships them out tomorrow so I’m trying to do as much research as I can while I still have the chance to get my money back.

Apr 24Reply

ngocnguyen1994@marrisanichole you are right to be suspicious then! DONT TRUST SELLERS WHO REFUSE TO PUT UP PICS OF THE SIZE DOT! Or upload and then delete like that. All of that seems super shady. I would honestly recommend you cancel the order if you can ASAP. This is unfortunately a very real thing happening these days. :( I’ve been seeing more and more every single day and it’s being sold everywhere! I feel really bad for unsuspecting buyers!

Apr 24Reply

nnhinguyenn@ngocnguyen1994 this is somewhat random but related, but do you know if there are fakes of other legging styles besides Aligns, or even non-leggings like shorts and tanks? Obviously aligns are super super popular so I get why there’s so many fakes floating around, I’m just curious if we should be this cautious towards other styles. Always better to be safe than sorry, but I feel annoying when I ask the seller for like a million different things for a pair of older ATRP, for example 😅

Apr 24Reply

ngocnguyen1994@nnhinguyenn YES! I have seen Wunder Unders and define jackets. But primarily aligns and WU are the main ones you have to look out for! The fake define jackets are sooooooooo obviously fake that I’m surprised people can’t tell by the design but there are tons of them in selling sites. Those are the ones I know of for sure since I collect aligns and define jackets. As for other items, I honestly wouldn’t put it past the scammers. :/

Apr 24Reply

chasechase000@nnhinguyenn every style of lululemon has fakes out there! A TON!!!!!

Apr 24Reply

marrisanichole@ngocnguyen1994 I messaged her expressing my concerns and she deleted all the posts and cancelled my order. I’m not sure what to make of it but I definitely learned a lot during the process. Thanks for all your help!

Apr 24Reply

sierra_s28Her girl! I just bought a pair of align shorts and the tag says 80% nylon and 20% Lycra elastane instead of 81% 19%. Are they authentic?

Apr 24Reply

ngocnguyen1994@sierra_s28 can you tag me in pics? :) I just looked up Align shorts on the lululemon website itself and it still says 81% nylon and 19% Lycra under the material and care section.

Apr 24Reply

sierra_s28Just tagged you! I appreciate it :)

Apr 24Reply

sierra_s28I looked at a lot of sold listings and I found 3 different pair of the same align shorts with rip tag saying 80% and 20% so I think they are authentic :) lmk what you think! I’m just so paranoid because of so many people selling fakes!

Apr 24Reply

ngocnguyen1994@sierra_s28 no worries! I would ask lululemon. Because on their website that’s what they listed for align shorts? Could be a typo in their part but it never hurts to be sure!

Apr 24Reply

ngocnguyen1994@elenigold no prob! 💕💕

Apr 24Reply

sierra_s28Ok! Thank you so much! I will try to contact them tmr! Their chat has been so busy 😩 I was like 180 in line the other day and today I couldn’t even get into it because there was so many people in front of me 🤦🏻‍♀️

nicolerosent340@ngocnguyen1994 there is no athletica it just says lululemon on the tag

glamceeHi!! You know the lululemon sign on the back of the pants behind the waist.. if it’s shiny or glittery is that a fake? Or are there some like that?

alore2005Hi, besides from Align pants, dot size, it has to match the price tag to authentic right?

Apr 30Reply

ngocnguyen1994@alore2005 I’m not 100% sure what you mean by that... maybe tag me in the post or clarify??

Apr 30Reply

janmonseHi! I was wondering if you had any information regarding the authenticity of size dots that don’t have the alpha numeric code around the number. I’ve seen several pictures like this and recently made a hasty purchase that I later realized had a size dot but didn’t have the code. And something just doesn’t feel right about those tights. Appreciate any information you can share. Thank you.

May 02Reply

ngocnguyen1994@janmonse hi there - lululemon used to make their size dots with just a size number. :/ so for those types of size dots, it’s really hard to determine. It depends on how familiar you are with lulu fabric and materials in order to see if it’s authentic or not. I have seen fakes with only a size number for the size dot but it could also be an older lululemon item. :(

May 02Reply

janmonse@ngocnguyen1994 Thanks for getting back to me! I definitely know I have one that’s just an older model but this last one feels funny which probably means it is a fake. Live and learn! Thanks again for all the knowledge you’re putting out there and for educating us.

ngocnguyen1994@janmonse of course! Good luck!

May 05Reply

janet20j@ngocnguyen1994 hey I tried to find the answer on your post but don’t see it. I am trying to organize my colors on aligns. My question is, do some align have the same code I tend to find on lulu fan page LW5BEJS same code for red dust and slate blue ??? What would you recommend I do to organize the color code?

May 06Reply

ngocnguyen1994@janet20j hi there! I think you might misunderstand! The size dot code isn’t specific for a color. The W part tells you the length of the leggings (for aligns) and the number part is the release date. I’ll tag you in a post that explains it! What I do to figure out color is to first put the W code into lulufanatics, then it’ll tell you the possibilities for the color. After that, you just pick out some colors that might be the correct color and look up old posts for size dots of those colors!

May 06Reply

kaylanicole1813Heyy I purchased a LuLulemon camo jacket the tag says the body is 88%polyester 12% lycra sandex the lining is 82%nylon 18%lycra spandex. It has the dot inside the pocket just a plain 6

May 08Reply

ngocnguyen1994@kaylanicole1813 are you sure that’s authentic? Because lululemon doesn’t use spandex. If there are any rip tags that say the composition is something “spandex” it’s a fake. But if you want to post pics of the jacket, I can check it for you and make sure. Lululemon uses Lycra elastane not spandex :/

May 08Reply

kaylanicole1813@ngocnguyen1994 yess I can send you pics how do I do it on here?

May 08Reply

ngocnguyen1994@kaylanicole1813 just make a post on your own posh page and tag me! Please take pics of the rip tap with the fabric composition, the front and back of the jacket, as well as the size dot! Also, if you can take close ups of the stitching too - that’s another way for me to tell!

May 08Reply

kaylanicole1813@ngocnguyen1994 yes ma’am!

May 08Reply

julia_fan@staceylynn631

May 09Reply

cwantedhi, would you be able to help identify if these lululemon leggings I purchased are authentic? :)

May 11Reply

ngocnguyen1994@cwanted yes post pics on posh and tag me! Make sure to take pics of the size dot, rip tag with fabric composition, logo and stitching! :)

May 11Reply

ngocnguyen1994@cwanted nothing about them screams fake. The stitching looks good. They look like an older pair of lululemon they don’t have the size dot where I can truly look up authenticity. :/ I think they’re just an older pair of lupus :)

May 11Reply

splendid175hey, I am going to tag you on a couple listings that I think are fake and currently up for sale...please let me know if they are fake

May 11Reply

ngocnguyen1994@splendid175 the first two white and pink from the same seller looks EXTREMELY FAKE to me just outright. There’s no size dot so I can’t guarantee. But there’s something off with the logos - they might also be very old lululemon items but something’s off with them. So I understand why you think that. The third one (pink scuba) is just an older lululemon item I think originally released in 2012 (W4A60S this is the code I put into lulufanatics).

May 11Reply

splendid175@ngocnguyen1994 awesome thanks for getting back to me! I reported the 2 from the same seller... hopefully they look into them or remove the listings before someone buys them.

May 11Reply

ngocnguyen1994@splendid175 for sure!! Tons of these fakes are popping up everywhere :( I’ve seen so many now it’s like impossible to stop them all! That’s why I make the posts I do just to help others spot them, because if everyone’s more knowledgable as buyers, then there will be less victims!

May 11Reply

splendid175@ngocnguyen1994 Absolutely!✊😁

May 11Reply

mares_aylin@ngocnguyen1994 Hello I know you are an expert in spotting real and fake aligns. If I tag you in a post could you tell me if the leggings are real or fake? Please let me know! Thanks! If not I understand, but if you can could you comment here whether it is real or not?

May 13Reply

ngocnguyen1994@mares_aylin sure go ahead! :)

May 13Reply

mares_aylin@ngocnguyen1994 sweet just did! thank-you:)

May 13Reply

ngocnguyen1994@mares_aylin seems like it just sold! But the logo does look a bit off - idk if that’s because of the flurry pics? But I need a size dot to check for you and since it sold already, the seller can’t upload it to the listing anymore :/

May 13Reply

mares_aylin@ngocnguyen1994 I bought them lol but I asked her to upload a size dot and she just did so I think it is authentic right? I’ve heard if they don’t have a size dot then they are not authentic, but she was able to provide one.

May 13Reply

ngocnguyen1994@mares_aylin the fake ones have size dots too! That’s not the way to check out fakes - they make it with the size dot too! I don’t see an uploaded size dot pic though? So I can’t tell. But I’ll tag you in a post that’ll help you determine authenticity yourself! :) if you need my help further, just let me know!

May 13Reply

mares_aylin@ngocnguyen1994 thanks for tagging me in that post on how to tell real or fake. I didn’t know that the fake ones had codes too:/ Well she uploaded a code in the comments. The code she uploaded was M90119LW5BOBS

May 13Reply

mares_aylin@ngocnguyen1994 I looked the code up and I think it matched titanium color.

May 13Reply

ngocnguyen1994@mares_aylin yes sounds good! 😉

May 14Reply

jayhope5Hi I just bought a paid of align 25. They’re like an adobe color. I’m concerned they’re fake so I found your post. The size dot reads: 00000LW5BOBS.0419.0000Z4. None of my other aligns have that long of numbers and letters in the size dot. They’re really nice but feel a little silkier that’s my others. Don’t know if I’m just being paranoid but thought I’d ask for help! Thank you

May 14Reply

ngocnguyen1994@jayhope5 that’s the newest size dot! Lululemon came out with those because the replicas were copying the older ones that you are probably used to seeing. That’s authentic - don’t worry! Great price! 😉

May 14Reply

ngocnguyen1994@mel_bell02 anytime! 💕💕

May 14Reply

thatssewpretty@ngocnguyen1994 thank you so much! I just tagged you in it 😊

May 21Reply

ngocnguyen1994@thatssewpretty that’s a very old pair of aligns that’s the OG align before they made it the way they do now! It’s understandable that there’s no size dot! But it’s authentic!

May 21Reply

thatssewpretty@ngocnguyen1994 thank you so so much! I’m glad to hear they are authentic 😊

May 21Reply

kyleesoutfit@vtruong10 the leggings you just commented on are 100% fake the pink one.

Jun 01Reply

vtruong10@kyleesoutfit yeah someone told me that also. the tag looked super fake and i reported the listing. thank you so much for warning me, i really appreciate it !!

Jun 01Reply

vtruong10@ngocnguyen1994 thank you so much for posting this! super helpful to everyone! 💞💞

Jun 01Reply

mel_bell02Just tagged you can you take a look! Thanks!

Jun 02Reply

ngocnguyen1994@mel_bell02 it’s good! Just an older lulu item!

Jun 02Reply

mel_bell02@ngocnguyen1994 awesome thanks!!!

Jun 03Reply

mel_bell02@ngocnguyen1994 and to clarify it is an align? I only want an align pant not a wunder under or another style?

Jun 03Reply

ngocnguyen1994@mel_bell02 yes it’s an Align Crop Pant! :) I also have a post to tell the difference between aligns and Wunder unders if you want to check it out! ;)

Jun 03Reply

mel_bell02@ngocnguyen1994 I look at it now! Thanks again!

Jun 03Reply

ngocnguyen1994@mel_bell02 anytime!

Jun 03Reply

ngocnguyen1994@kelseagail yes I agree there is definitely a lot of that happening. I’ve had instances myself of people stealing the pictures of the aligns I posted in order to scam others. It’s rampant. No matter how much research you do, there’s a possibility of getting scammed because the scammers will either use other people’s pics of real aligns or just post 1-2 pics only. Honestly at this point I’d recommend buying directly from lululemon.

Jun 06Reply

klindsay286I found a fake black aligns - the seller keeps deleting my comments but hasn’t blocked me (yet). Her handle is ihtssjazzy. You can tell they are fake b/c the tag is in the wrong spot, looks wrong, they are made with spandex, and the style code doesn’t even exist on lulufanatics. Will you help me report and get this taken down?

Jun 06Reply

klindsay286Now I’m blocked

Jun 06Reply

ngocnguyen1994@klindsay286 just checked her page and I can’t find it??

Jun 06Reply

klindsay286@ngocnguyen1994 Oh, maybe it got taken down! I thought I just couldn’t see it anymore because she blocked me. Well that’s good then!

Jun 06Reply

ngocnguyen1994@klindsay286 for sure! :)

Jun 09Reply

ngocnguyen1994@emiholland3 aww thank you! 🥰🥰

Jun 09Reply

fwu215Hi! First, thank you for helping people out verifying listings! I normally purchase direct from Lulu and never thought to verify listings here. I just purchased a pair of aligns that are in transit to me but when I plugged in the dot number on lulu fanatic, there’s no info. Does that mean they’re probably fake? The tag also looks slightly different than the aligns I have at home.

Jun 10Reply

ngocnguyen1994@fwu215 can you tag me in that post so I can see myself? :)

Jun 10Reply

ngocnguyen1994@fwu215 ok a couple things... so the rip tag itself looks authentic to me. It’s the type of rip tag that I see a lot in international releases - whenever I buy lulu in a different country, that’s what the tag looks like. However, there is something about that size dot that the font looks really off to me. Like the letters/numbers are much thicker and the font is different than a normal size dot... so honestly I’m a bit confused. :/

Jun 10Reply

ngocnguyen1994@fwu215 if you own other lululemon aligns, I would recommend for you to compare the fabrics when you get this pair in the mail. That’s the best indicator.

Jun 10Reply

fwu215@ngocnguyen1994 thanks so much for the quick response! The size dot worried me too so that’s why I started researching. I own about ten aligns at home so I’m pretty sure I’ll be comparing it to each one when they arrive 🤣

Jun 10Reply

ngocnguyen1994@fwu215 at this point I’m leaning more towards they are real. Mainly because if the tag is international in the pics, then it wouldn’t show up on lulufanatics since that site only works for US releases, not in other countries. So yeah I think that’s the best way. You’ll know for sure if you have a fake - the fabric is completely different. :) good luck! If you need any further help after you get it, just let me know! :)

Jun 10Reply

fwu215@ngocnguyen1994 Hi! I got the aligns today and I feel like they’re fake. Ugh. The logo looks off, the material feels more silky and doesn’t stretch like my other aligns. It’s also like an inch smaller at the ankle. The stitching in the inner pocket also looks different than all my aligns. Can I create a post and tag you to show you? The tag material looks real but it’s like one and a half times larger than normal.

Jun 11Reply

ngocnguyen1994@fwu215 yeah I think you need to return then. It’s a fake. :/

rawrchelHi @ngocnguyen1994 - I’m also a Nguyen-er :) I just purchased a pair of aligns on MC and I wanted to know what color you think it is. I checked the align tag on lulufantics there’s a bunch of greys that were released by then. The photo is the leggings next to graphite grey aligns. The size dot says LW5AYSNSZ40417. Thanks in advanced for your help!

Jun 11Reply

ngocnguyen1994@rawrchel let me tag you in my Greys post! Hopefully that makes it clearer because I think that matches to two different Greys and since I don’t have it in front of me, I can’t be sure which one so hopefully my Greys post will help!

Jun 11Reply

emiholland3Hey! I have a pair of lulus saved but I’m very skeptical about if they are real or not. I don’t think they are aligns but I wanted to know if you would verify them for me. I’ll tag you on the post now

Jun 12Reply

ngocnguyen1994@emiholland3 I would need the size dot! I see you already requested but they haven’t done it?? I tried looking up that pattern on lulufanatics but they don’t have leggings with that pattern that looks like the ones in the listing. So honestly I’m not sure... :/

Jun 12Reply

emiholland3@ngocnguyen1994 thank you so much for checking for me. Normally when lulus are super high rise the logo is on the top not the lower left leg. Thanks again!

Jun 12Reply

klindsay286@emiholland3 It looks like you’ve already taken down the post about the pants you were wondering about, but I just wanted to offer my 2 cents about the logo placement - I have a few pairs of skinny wills (circa late 2013/early 2014) that are very high rise pants but have the logo on the back lower leg. Lulu actually used to do that a lot in older styles (and often the pants are reversible and one said has the logo on the waistband, the other side on the leg.

Jun 13Reply

klindsay286@emiholland3 Just so you know, it might not be fake it might just be an older style! 🤗

Jun 24Reply

klindsay286I’ve been seeing aligns posted with silver markings, almost like a sharpie, inside the waistband and/or on the size dot - does anyone know what that’s about? It seems kinda strange and maybe a bit fishy?

Jun 27Reply

ngocnguyen1994@klindsay286 I don’t know what you mean by that. Tag me in a pic/posting so I can check it out and get back to you :)

Jun 27Reply

efccloset_3Thank you SO much for this information! I appreciate you taking the time to help others. How do I tag you in a bundle I created to ask your opinion if the pants are real or fake? Or do I go to the individual listing and enter your name in the comments section? Thank you for all your help!

Jul 13Reply

ngocnguyen1994@efccloset_3 yes tag me in the individual listing :)

Jul 13Reply

efccloset_3@ngocnguyen1994 you’re awesome. Just tried tagging you in 2 listings. The info tag is red, and the other side is like a buttercup color. However other listings from these same two people show info tags with all black.

Jul 13Reply

ngocnguyen1994@efccloset_3 they both look good and authentic. The price is very high though - considering that one pair (the speed up crops) is older (released in 2016) and the other pair was on sale a couple months ago. If you want to get it, please negotiate price with seller because I do think that it’s overpriced (IMO). :) good luck!

Jul 13Reply

efccloset_3@ngocnguyen1994 Thank you SO much. You are a rock star! If you come across size 8 or even 10, let me know. I really appreciate all your help in helping people like me not get scammed.

ngocnguyen1994@efccloset_3 of course! Anytime :) don’t be shy!

my3sons22@ngocnguyen1994 I am unable to find the color and just want to list them correctly...thank you for going above and beyond for another posher

Sep 12Reply

ngocnguyen1994@my3sons22 ohhhhh I see - I need to see pics of the legging colors as well in order to help you check!! I can’t tell by just the size dot alone since two colors can have the same size dot code/style number! If you can do that and tag me, I’d be more than happy to help! I will also tag you in a post that shows how to look up the information on the size dot as well for your future reference!

Sep 12Reply

my3sons22@ngocnguyen1994 I am listing this evening so I will tag you then...thank you again

ngocnguyen1994@my3sons22 sounds good :)

Sep 12Reply

kellyawbrey@my3sons22 Did you find out the color of these? I have the same pair & am curious what the color is...kind of periwinkle, purplish blue looking...

Oct 24Reply

my3sons22@kellyawbrey no and mine are more wine colored...I am listing a lot of lululemon in the next week or two and plan to list numbers on tags but not the color name...

j_s_gHi, could I tag you in some on the fly pants to help authenticate?

Jul 17Reply

ngocnguyen1994@j_s_g sure! :)

Jul 17Reply

j_s_g@ngocnguyen1994 thanks so much! I’ve asked for the size dot so I can let you know when/if that’s posted. I’ve read so much about what to look for in fakes but also difficult when you’re looking at tiny photos on a screen!

Jul 17Reply

ngocnguyen1994@j_s_g I understand - don’t worry! I’m familiar with on the fly pants so I’ll help you as best as I can :) just keep me updated!

Jul 17Reply

j_s_g@ngocnguyen1994 awesome, thanks :)

Jul 17Reply

j_s_gHi! She posted the size dot and it did result on lulufanatic and the rip tag looks legit (no misspellings, weird fonts or spacing, etc). Anything else I should look for? I feel bad commenting on there again to tag you bc I’ve commented several times asking questions or for more pics, ha! I could give you the username?

Jul 19Reply

ngocnguyen1994@j_s_g no worries girl! But yes the things you’ve checked are good! If it shows up on lulufanatics, you’ll be fine!

Jul 19Reply

j_s_g@ngocnguyen1994 thanks for your time and for the reassurance :)!

felonivintage@t_weller the tag says spandex and @ngocnguyen1994 can confirm if their fake or not :) I’m really glad you appreciate my unnecessary knowledge. Like I said this is not to be rude but when selling fakes it’s appreciated when that’s transparent. Also lululemon has never put spandex in their aligns new or old. Have a great night!

_pink_icing_Thank you for posting. This helps so much. I've now invested the time to make sure everything I sell before hand is/will be authenticated prior to shipment and or listing when it comes to bags, wallets, purses, jewelry, and now sadly, lululemon. I am a huge Lilly Pulitzer seller and supporter. I can spot a fake anywhere but lululemon is a little tougher. Again, thank you for taking he time to do this and for caring about your buyers

loversnoteThis is very helpful, thank you so much for sharing these tips! 💞 recently purchased diamond dye 25’ aligns with pockets, size dot code LW6BRRS.0121 and think they are fake. It’s been split 50/50 on if they’re fakes when I ask others. Tag is black and looks hand sewn, in the middle of the seam line. Can you please help me verify if they are authentic.

Jul 13Reply

ngocnguyen1994@loversnote hi there!! Tag me in the pics when you post it on Posh and I can check for you!
