This is just meant to show how to spot a fake. I see so many passed on here as real and it’s sad to see so many people get scammed. Updated 7/20 so show rip tag. Accent over the last “a” is a sign of a fake!

thepineapplehut@autumnmedlin12 the square size dot is new. So it looks fine. Do you have a pic of the tab in the back???

Jul 01Reply

autumnmedlin12@thepineapplehut that's the only pic I don't have of it 🥲

dlopclosetSomeone purchased that same fake jacket today 😭

Apr 10Reply

thepineapplehut@lopezdenise93 I know. I told the seller it was fake. She said she got it from the lululemon store🙄 she knew😡

Apr 10Reply

chasechase000@thepineapplehut 🤦🏻‍♀️

Apr 10Reply

shopmyclosetamm@lopezdenise93 yeah we’ve reached out to her several times. She doesn’t seem to care :/

Apr 10Reply

dlopcloset@thepineapplehut she posted on her Instagram that it was from a thrift haul

Apr 10Reply

shopforpunkyAlso, the elastic zipper pull is always interwoven on the metal tab...not just looped once like the fake jacket.

Apr 10Reply

thepineapplehut@shopforpunky yep! 👍🏼

Apr 10Reply

evelynick13@thepineapplehut hi, you’re comment about my stride jacket was helpful. the flap should always be on the left you said, is that in any jacket with a flap?

Apr 11Reply

thepineapplehut@evelynick13 There are other jackets that have the flap on the right side. For example, Lululemon 7Mesh Resistance Jacket has the flap on the right. But it’s true for all Define jackets of this style for the flap to be on the left.

Apr 24Reply

scthriftGreat information!! I’m one who purchased a fake unknowingly. Waiting to hear back from poshmark. I messaged the lady whom I purchased from and she says I’m crazy! 🤦‍♀️

Apr 29Reply

dianaluccaDoes it matter if the size dot has numbers/letters around the circle or not? I see some with just the size in the center and others with size in the center and extra numbers/letters circling around it. Not sure if that is normal or an indicator of authenticity?

May 01Reply

thepineapplehut@dianalucca older styles have just the size but newer styles have the style numbers and date around the size.

May 01Reply

dianalucca@thepineapplehut cool! I was hoping that was the case. Thanks for responding so fast!

May 01Reply

afn1990@thepineapplehut thank you for the valuable info! Quick question, how can you tell a fake if it doesnt have stitching on the back? My dAughters that she just bought doesnt have anything on the back.

May 02Reply

thepineapplehut@afn1990 this is only for the define jacket. Did she get another style?

May 02Reply

afn1990@thepineapplehut the seller listed it as a Define, but maybe its an older style

May 02Reply

thepineapplehut@afn1990 can you tag me in the listing.

May 02Reply

afn1990@thepineapplehut yes, thank u!

May 02Reply

thepineapplehut@afn1990 that’s the forme jacket. It’s a different style.

May 02Reply

afn1990@thepineapplehut ok thank u!

May 02Reply

jammed_closets2Oh my goodness! Such a small difference! I had no idea!! Crazy! I worry about that as I buy a lot of merch from thrifting and some yard sales. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!! 👍🏼💕

Jul 02Reply

isilee_isabellaHey @thepineapplehut I just posted a define and it looks like it may be a fake. I bought it from someone else and have no clue honestly and wouldn’t want to seem like I’m scamming someone. Could you double check it for me if you have a minute? Thank you so much💕

Jul 03Reply

thepineapplehut@isilee_isabella I just looked. It’s fake :(

spoil_mimi@thepineapplehut hi sorry to bother you. But I may have bought fake Lulu leggings. Do you know if all lulu leggings would have reflective logo. This one I bought does not. I appreciate any advice you may be able to offer. Thanks

Jul 18Reply

thepineapplehut@spoil_mimi not all have the reflective logo. Tag me in the listing and I’ll have a look

Jul 18Reply

benkitties@shopforpunky my scuba hoodie from 2011 had a short looped tab- i bought it directly from lulu...

thepineapplehut@benkitties this is for DEFINE jackets only.

Jul 20Reply

benkitties@thepineapplehut ok thanks!

Jul 20Reply

p1rategirl96I think I just got scammed. I received a define jacket today but the quality was not what I was expecting at all. I paid $60 and I only accepted it because I saw that it was such a good discount off similar jackets with less west. The zipper on mine is shorter and mine doesn’t have a tag at all which isn’t mentioned in the listing and I didn’t think to check for that first. Can someone confirm this is a fake. I can send pictures. Thanks so much!

Jul 22Reply

thepineapplehut@p1rategirl96 can you tag me in the listing?

Jul 22Reply

p1rategirl96@thepineapplehut I just tagged you. Thanks!

Sep 03Reply

rachelmarie2224Thanks for the tips- that's good to know

Sep 18Reply

ferirayaI didn’t know Lululemon has fake. Thank you for info.

Oct 11Reply

squishandmoreI'm glad I saw this! One question: Do older define jackets sometimes have the shorter zip? The tag and back checks out on some but the zipper is a shorter version.

Oct 15Reply

blazingvintage2just here to say thank you for posting this! I was able to verify mine is real thankfully :)

Nov 17Reply

mypassion4uIDK why Postmark doesn't care about authenticity. I've seen too many fakes Lululemon and they were listed at top dollars like $75+. In fact, some items were listed more than Lululemon prices and also commented as "sold out online". I'm so scare of buying them now.

Dec 11Reply

tcpham8462@dlopcloset Can you help check out a purple Lululemon jacket for sale by djentilet ? The back tab seems to match the fake photo. I was going to buy think it might not be authentic.

Feb 28Reply

thepineapplehut@vivtadros Lululemon currently/had manufactures its products in several different locations including Canada, the United States, Peru, China, Bangladesh, Indonesia, India, Israel, Taiwan, South Korea, Malaysia, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Vietnam and Switzerland.

Feb 28Reply

closetvibezz@mothclothposh basically this is a good reference for yourself :) basically i could tell right away with the product you had up, for the pattern i personally have never seen, plus the stitching was underneath, and the tiny pocket above the zipper was on the wrong side! happy to help.

Feb 28Reply

mothclothposh@closetvibezz seriously! Thank you so much. And thank you for the info!

May 09Reply

May 09Reply

closetvibezz@thepineapplehut I literally just saw… lmao. I honestly reported her. I cant tolerate insincere people trying to sell fake items to those who can be oblivious to these things

May 09Reply

Jul 26Reply

thepineapplehut@aprilmehret sure!

Jul 26Reply

thepineapplehut@aprilmehret it is real but a much older style. It is also missing the pull string on the main zipper.

Oct 12Reply

manemecSo I have a general question about the mesh across the inside back above the vent of a define. Do all real ones have full mesh, while fakes have partial? Or do any real define jackets have partial mesh too? I have 3 that I purchased through Poshmark and all three have partial mesh… everything else checks out as real…. Thanks!

Dec 04Reply

thepineapplehut@teshia27 it’s not fake but it’s not a define jacket.

Dec 04Reply

thepineapplehut@teshia27 it’s called the Lululemon Movement To Movement Jacket

Dec 04Reply

teshia27@thepineapplehut wow) you are encyclopedia 🤣

Dec 04Reply

nlmedellin89THANK YOU FOR SHARING ♥️

Dec 06Reply

teshia27@thepineapplehut hi Alexandra, I am right? This jacket is fake? I bought it (seller cancelled purchase) after my questions. So I’m fine.. but I was wondering why she did this? And after reviewed again your post.. looks like fake, right?

Dec 10Reply

thepineapplehut@teshia27 totally fake!

Dec 10Reply

teshia27@thepineapplehut really wow…. 10xWOW… I’m lucky that order been canceled. You doing such a great job here! Thank you. I should check everything twice.. but my question is, where do they take this fabrics?! It is pretty complex print, if you understand what I mean. Is it means that “scammers” have access to the same factory as Lululemon, or to the files? Where is the leak?

Dec 10Reply

thepineapplehut@teshia27 they just copy the print but the fabric isn’t the same. They have even made up prints too

Dec 10Reply

thepineapplehut@ashleyduo sure. Tag me in it

Dec 12Reply

dawnfm0511@thepineapplehut OMG! I honestly had no idea that there were fakes being sold. Call me naive or just out of loop. I'm going to go through my purchases from my mid life crisis times. I bought a lot of lululemon for myself, not to resell. Then after a while I noticed I just had too much athletic wear. What do I do if they are fakes and I want to get rid of? Do I even waste my time listing or just donate?

Jan 03Reply

xalliex33I know this post is just for the define jacket, but does lululemon use not use spandex in any of their clothes and would that be a red flag to be on any hang tag? New to lululemon so I just want to be cautious! :)

Jan 03Reply

thepineapplehut@dawnfm0511 unfortunately you can’t list the fakes :( I would donate if you have any.

Jan 03Reply

dawnfm0511@thepineapplehut Yes but I'm not real sure I could identify any fakes. I have define jackets mostly to sell. I want to try to sell the real ones, I don't want to be that person to give someone a fake. I probably got scammed too and can't do anything about that. You seem to have an eye for this. What can an uneducated soul like me look for?

Jan 03Reply

thepineapplehut@lyssa2396 lululemon has their own trademarked fabrics like Luon which is a blend of other fabrics that can include spandex. But I don’t know 100% sure if they would write spandex on there. You can post it and I can check it out.

Jan 03Reply

thepineapplehut@dawnfm0511 if you want you can post them and tag me in there and I’ll have a look.

Jan 03Reply

xalliex33@thepineapplehut I didn’t buy it but I saw a scuba full zip I believe and it said spandex on the tag I’ll see if I can find the listing again and post ! Thanks for this post though, super helpful!

Jan 03Reply

dawnfm0511@thepineapplehut The jackets are in my closet, I have reposted using the same pictures. I can take more if needed. If you could look that would be great. This is a big lesson for me!

Jan 03Reply

xalliex33@thepineapplehut I posted pics of the scuba with spandex in the tag! I’ve also never seen a size dot like that but it might just be really old?

Jan 03Reply

thepineapplehut@dawnfm0511 all of the defines are real

Jan 03Reply

dawnfm0511@thepineapplehut Thank you for your beautiful time!

Jan 03Reply

Oct 08Reply

Oct 31Reply

nancy_koehn@spoil_mimi How do I tell?

Oct 31Reply

jammed_closets2That’s why I ALWAYS photo tags in my listings! I’m no expert. If someone were to comment that one of my items was a fake I’d surely take it down and do some research before I tried to sell it again. I’d be so embarrassed if I sold something and was later told it was a fake. Most of my sourcing comes from thrift stores.

Oct 31Reply

awong622Hi. Thank you for all the information. I had a question.. does the leggings and tights always have a size dot. And is the Size ever on inside of the cuff of leg

Nov 11Reply

thepineapplehut@awong622 I never seen a pair without a size dot. Even really old styles. I also haven’t seen a size dot in the cuff of the leggings. Do this leggy not have a pocket or hidden pocket in the waistband?

Nov 11Reply

ccoppins1001So I just purchased 2 jackets that I am now questioning if fake. Can someone tell me about the zipper pulls? I have one that’s new that looks way different than the one I just bought on Poshmark.

Jan 22Reply

thepineapplehut@ccoppins1001 you can tag me in the original listing and I will take a look

Jan 22Reply

thepineapplehut@ccoppins1001 the blue jacket that you tagged me in is not a define jacket, that’s called the forme jacket and it is a really, really really old style. But it is authentic.

Jan 22Reply

ccoppins1001I think I tagged you

Jan 22Reply

ccoppins1001Ahh thank you so very much

Jan 22Reply

christine066@thepineapplehut Hi, do you know if the older Define jackets had pocket zipper pulls that had the brand "IDEAL" on it? (No Lululemon logo on it or YKK on it - just the word IDEAL. Everything else checks out!) Thanks!

Feb 12Reply

thepineapplehut@christine066 is be suspicious of that. Can you tag me in the post so I can see?

Feb 12Reply

christine066@thepineapplehut I didn't want to list it until I was certain. If that's the only way, I will put it up just temporarily for you to check out and will tag you once I do. Thanks so much! :)

Feb 12Reply

poshcellarHi! can I tag you on a listing? Thank you 😊

Apr 25Reply

thepineapplehut@poshcellar yes

Apr 25Reply

thepineapplehut@poshcellar it’s real, just a much older one. Definitely not worth $45 though, you can find a newer one in better condition for around the same price.

Apr 25Reply

poshcellar@thepineapplehut thank you!

haileyj997I just bought a define jacket. Do you think you could tell me if it’s fake or not?

May 02Reply

thepineapplehut@haileyj997 sure. Tag me.

May 02Reply

haileyj997@thepineapplehut ok thank you! I made a post and tagged you. I bought it from another site and came upon this post, then I started worrying if it’s fake or not.

May 02Reply

thepineapplehut@haileyj997 the photos are a bit blurry and it’s hard to see if the tab on the back is attached in the right place. Do you happen to know where it’s from so I can check out the site?

May 02Reply

haileyj997@thepineapplehut de pop

May 02Reply

haileyj997It won’t let me type it out. I can try to type out the link. De pop.com/products/valentluvica-nwt-lululemon-define-jacket-size/

May 02Reply

haileyj997No spaces.

May 02Reply

thepineapplehut@haileyj997 it says Pages does not exist

May 02Reply

thepineapplehut@haileyj997 so I found the listing and what is alarming is that the pictures all have different backgrounds so I don’t think that this person took these pictures or actually has this product. They might send you a fake one. To play it safe I would definitely cancel this order. You could also find it cheaper elsewhere.

May 02Reply

haileyj997@thepineapplehut darn ok. Thank you. Idk how that site works. But I’m trying to cancel.

May 02Reply

ccoppins1001@thepineapplehut I just tagged you on a jacket. I’ve never seen this pattern before so I just wanted your opinion if it’s real :-) thank you!
