desnailsandmore@april3hewitt you don’t have to have one but, I prefer it. When I don’t use a top coat some types get a little tacky especially if it’s hot. I have some customers who don’t use a top coat. I use one personally. I also find they last longer with more protection. Just any top coat is fine.
