This 1980s (reproduction or authentic?) bitten Apple rainbow tee is perfect for the tech geek. The tee is likely a reproduction, a promotional item for the 2018 Apple Park but similar rare tees cost $60 on eBay. disneyandmore4uOops . I am sorry- a reproduction this shirt definitely is -that is - a reproduction of the ones in the 1980s- yes. But it is still a rare shirt as it is a promotional item that is hard to find. I got confused as thinking the issue here is that it is fake. Wow, why does such issues bother me so much?!?

disneyandmore4uPrice may be lowered overtime

Mar 10Reply

disneyandmore4uIt is in brand new condition as it has never been worn!!!

Mar 10Reply

disneyandmore4u I priced this shirt according to its value, as the 1980s tees that I found to resemble this one. I could not find any more recent versions of this shirt online that have this apple rainbow stripe. The rainbow apple logo was a popular one back in the 1980s. If someone can prove that this is a more recent Apple tee, then I will price it much lower and accordingly. Vintage Apple products are hot and it appears from my research that this shirt is about 40 years old and yet it looks brand new.

disneyandmore4uNOT PART OF THE T-SHIRT SALE

Jun 09Reply

disneyandmore4uThis item is rare, it is hard to find now! I will be lowering the price gradually but not lower then $65 and perhaps not even that low. But surely anyone who likes this shirt knows the value of vintage Apple items and their popularity.

Jun 11Reply

disneyandmore4uOnce I lower my price to “firm”. I will keep it up for about a month till I take it down. I know it is a hot item and if it does not sell on Poshmark, it will sell somewhere else. So do not loose out on this piece of Apple history!

Jun 11Reply

disneyandmore4uEven then, I come up to the Bay Area often so I am sure to find a way to sell it if not on Poshmark. Maybe even Apple headquarters would like to buy this shirt from me! Lol! If there is ever an Apple museum, wouldn’t this shirt be an awesome addition?!?

littletree1982The way the tag is printed is very modern

Jul 01Reply

disneyandmore4u@littletree1982 I have stated that if someone can prove it then by all means show me the evidence otherwise I have done my research and this tee looks pretty authentic to me. Did you see the links I posted here?

Jul 01Reply

disneyandmore4uApple only did the rainbow apple logo in the 1980s. But this tee does look new so there is the small possibility that it was reintroduced for some anniversary event or such in the recent years so that is indeed possible, but even then , would still be rare as again that rainbow going across the apple is no longer common.

Jul 01Reply

disneyandmore4uThe tag is modern? How do you know? I compared it with others I saw online. I spent hours researching about it. But even if this tee is indeed modern ( I have stated I would consider any referenced links that could prove this is indeed a recently produced tee. But even then the rarity is still in the iconic Apple logo with the rainbow going across. This is not the logo they use anymore. It was popular and widely used in the 1980s only. But I strive for accuracy so prove it.

Jul 01Reply

disneyandmore4uBy the way, I am not offended if anyone questions the authenticity of this tee as I have questioned it myself. I did lots of research on it and as far as I can tell it is authentic but for being vintage, it is surprisingly in like new condition. Perhaps someone had it in storage?

Jul 01Reply

littletree1982@rena2u it’s probably from Apple Park..they sell shirts lifted directly from the 1983 apple gift catalog (I didn’t know there was such a thing)

Jul 01Reply

disneyandmore4u@littletree1982 interesting, can you post a website link or something else I can use to verify this? Even so, that is no longer a typical logo image of Apple so reissuing this logo for a tee would had to been for some rare event.

Jul 01Reply

littletree1982@rena2u I googled apple made apple tshirts , it popped up with a pic of and old apple tshirt I clicked the pic and it popped up with an article about Apple Park from October 2018

Jul 01Reply

disneyandmore4uCan you copy and paste the link here? I would like to check it out and price this tee accordingly at a fair price.

Jul 01Reply

disneyandmore4uAre you talking about this link? https://9to5mac.com/2018/10/22/apple-park-visitor-center-cupertino-tshirts-retro-logo/ - yes I saw it but still were these tees actually for sale and were they mass produced? There is also no stating how much those tees cost if they were even for sale. It could just be a promotional image. I do not see actual reproductions of tees with the iconic Apple rainbow logo on it, did you?

Jul 01Reply

disneyandmore4uHowever, it might be that you are right that this is a reproduction as it is very possible. There is no denying that. And even then, if it is a reproduction that was made for Apple Park, this tee would have been limited edition and still rare. It is not at all common to see the apple and rainbow logo on any Apple product anymore. If I could 100% verify this was a true 1980s tee, I would actually be charging $200 for it.

Jul 01Reply

disneyandmore4uAs I cannot guarantee that this tee is authentic of the 1970/1980 period, but still am aware that any Apple item that has the rainbow apple logo would be rare still, I think my price it fair.

Jul 01Reply

disneyandmore4u@littletree1982 Thanks for the info. I found the Apple loop tee for sale from the 2018 Apple Park event for $60 on ebay. So if this tee is from that event it is still a promotional item and cannot be easily found. But I think you are right. and as a tee like this would go for $60 on ebay. I will drop my price.

Jul 01Reply

littletree1982@rena2u hey I think the price is fine by the way..it just isn’t vintage from the 80s is all, apple products are always $$$ so this isn’t any different:)

Jul 01Reply

littletree1982https://9to5mac.com/2018/10/22/apple-park-visitor-center-cupertino-tshirts-retro-logo/

Jul 01Reply

littletree1982And yeah you saw it already..sorry I just went back and read your comments :)

Jul 01Reply

disneyandmore4uThanks again and I priced it accordingly. I may even lower the price gradually as well. I really appreciate you informing me about this. I was not quite sure but now see what you mean and it does look like a reproduction for that specific event like you said.

Jul 01Reply

disneyandmore4uThanks, I agree that Apple products especially rare ones are still worth money $$$$$. So I guess I will keep it at $50 which is $10 less then one is selling on eBay.

disneyandmore4u@shelleygeek Sorry but $15 is too low for the shirt. I consider reasonable price offers. 🍎

Apr 10Reply

shelleygeek@disneygurl2u just looking for a final panel on a project repat quilt. The shirt has been listed for over a year. These reproduction shirts are not quite as valuable as you think. I worked at the Apple Store for 5 years. I have a closet full of shirts. Just wanted to add a panel I didn’t have.

Apr 10Reply

disneyandmore4u@shelleygeek I understand that but it is rare item. I am not ready to sell it for that low.

Apr 10Reply

disneyandmore4u@shelleygeek cool that you worked at Apple. That is so cool!

Apr 10Reply

disneyandmore4u@shelleygeek even if I lowered the price to $25 which I am not ready to do, I am sure it would sell fast. If you have a huge collection of vintage Apple shirts, it would be better to sell them then cut them up, due to their value, in my opinion. There is a huge following of Apple fanatics. But your quilt will surely be unique.

Apr 10Reply

disneyandmore4u@shelleygeek wait, reproduction? Please show me what you mean. Please send me an actual website link as the “apple” symbol is in the collar of the shirt. No it is not a reproduction. You actually worked at Apple?!?

Apr 10Reply

disneyandmore4u@shelleygeek and I will let you know that I heavily research on everything I sell. This is a rare shirt! They no longer make rainbow apple tees. Really, you would have cut it up?!? ….lol!!

Apr 10Reply

disneyandmore4u@shelleygeek wow, nice closet by the way…cool Apple pen you sold…reproduction?

Apr 10Reply

disneyandmore4uSorry to the rest of potential buyers here, I just kind of got upset. I appreciate honesty by way and have to wonder. I also appreciate those of you who have sent me website links helping me prove its authenticity. 🥰

Apr 10Reply

disneyandmore4uPlease, even if you seem kind, please do not accuse me of selling fake items unless you prove it - state this and show an email link from a reliable source at time of posting your comment. Credibility and honesty are essential

Apr 10Reply

disneyandmore4uOn another note, the grey emblem on the collar is authentic. I am also sure many of you would agree. 🥰

Apr 10Reply

disneyandmore4uCongratulations to shelleygeek finding it on Etsy. I looked everywhere for this particular shirt online and only found it in the above article link I mentioned.

Apr 10Reply

disneyandmore4uI see someone one similar to this one for about $300 on another selling site.

Apr 10Reply

disneyandmore4u$30 in an offer is as low as I would go

Apr 11Reply

disneyandmore4uTo all buyers, if you are considering sending me offers that are extremely less then my asking price, I prefer you to write to me first in a bundle. But please be sincere and realistic as much as possible. I am willing to negotiate. Please though make claims or show any sense of negativity even if overall you seem kind - if I decline your offer. I am the seller here and I know my prices are fair. I do not accept any accusations or getting the impression that you may not be totally honest

Apr 11Reply

disneyandmore4uEspecially if you sell items that are similar or from the brand for quite a bit. I am the seller here and I know my prices are reasonable. I also am willing to wait for how long it takes to sell certain items. Thanks for your understanding. 😊

Apr 11Reply

disneyandmore4uOops I meant do not make claims or show any sense of negativity if I logically decline you lowball offer as if it would be some surprise.
