salmonmary@sheila1069 The strap /handle drop is approximately 7” but that can be a bit deceiving because the strap is part of the bag, unlike most purses where the handle is attached via a clasp, hook, ring, or such. So, when it lays flat, it’s right on top. The opening of the bag can be as wide as 17”, so the strap drop can seem much larger when being held or hanging off a shoulder. I hope that is helpful (and makes sense). Thank you!
