Macraweave Wall Hanging

I created this piece based on a photo I took while walking along the beach in Redondo Beach, CA. It had just finished raining an hour prior and the setting sun was creating the most beautiful colors of turquoise, blue and pink across the cloudy sky and ocean. The wood at the top is driftwood collected off the beach. The piece itself is made out of 5mm cotton string, roving and yarn using macrame and weaving techniques. Overall dimensions are 25"w X 32"h from the driftwood.
