Wearable Art “Edie” Recycled Stage Backdrop Top

I recently found a canvas backdrop from my set design days, and I thought the urban patterns were interesting. Maybe that’s just me. I don’t have the same aesthetic most people have. I took the yardage and threw it in my washer. The result was canvas fabric with some tooth. I liked the structure of it, so I made a few pieces. I wear them over a long, sheer blouse and leggings. This was one of my first tops, inspired by one of my long time muse’s, Edie Sedgwick. It’s stenciled and hand painted.
