designingdeb @mixedbrew Amazon sells jewelry cleaning cloths that are yellow. They are yellow and just use them until they are black (wear gloves!) and the ring will dazzle! Warm the silver band..rubbing with your hand and put on ring sizer. Warming gets molecules moving and help straighten any silver..like an omega. Just be ‘one with the silver’ and don’t force it. Take your time.

designingdeb @mixedbrew me? I’m fine with it because I know what to do and I find it interesting. Suzy Smith May not like it because it’s ‘dirty’ and won’t clean up she fears. Or they think it’s cheap silver. I have another listing (steal anything that helps you!!) If a magnet isn’t attracted, they run on a cloth or polish cloth and get black mark and obviously hallmark. You have one old piece that says sterling and they may question. It’s in that listing as proof.

designingdeb @mixedbrew if they clean it they can leave as much paying off as they want. But anything with stones I use Dawn (safe to clean oil from wildlife!) and warm water. 30 seconds rinse. If need more 2 minutes. Just not long on turquoise and never pearls. They need to read. Then keep in ziplock bags. I found heavy ones with a window at Amazon and I put jewelry I sell in it to avoid cleaning.

designingdeb @mixedbrew AND NEVER TOUCH STONES!! Hold on sides to put rings on. Oil is always on hands & attracts dirt. See my closet. Big on education! People selling good jewelry should educate people. You have great vintage stuff. If ladies get dressed down to o hand lotion and perfume them put on jewelry, perfume kills it and lotion makes it a dirt magnet. Jewelry is last to put on after hand washing then first off after hand washing at night. Cheap or expensive.

I would just like to educate poshers so they appreciate people like you and what you do reasonably offer v people selling a$3 piece for $300. That makes me nuts. I have loads of good stuff but won’t listed it to get pennies. But I’ll let them see what good stuff looks like !!
