The underneath fabric a Champaign color, with the top fabric a light ivory. I wanted it to have a fun, vintage feel...so many compliments! Polka dots & sparkles!This dress started out as a full length dress with a train-size 12, usually size I wear, but not in “wedding dress sizes” Used extra fabric to reconstruct the top part of dress-Now about a size 16-wedding dress sizing. exactly as I wanted-stunning! jacksnana Hello, in reading you description you refer to it as a size 16 “Wedding Dress size” . What would that size translate into for regular sizes? I wear a 14 normally. I don’t mind a few light alterations.. just trying to get an idea of measurements. Is the dress heavy! Summer wedding, trying to keep it light.😉 Thank you...

sweettooth4k @jacksnana Hi! I normally wear 12 or 14 depending on the cut. Large or XL-when I say wedding dress size, pretty much most formal dresses are made so much smaller than normal. Even my grown daughters who both wear 1’s and zeros had to go up to 2’s and 4’s. Not sure why that is? I wear a 36 DD bra. The bra is built into this dress which is nice. I did wind up wearing a no strap stick on bra for extra lift,. The dress is not too heavy esp after I altered it to tea length.

jacksnana @sweettooth4k ok thanks you so much. Not sure it will work, I’m a 38D, but same as you for normal dresses, 12/14 depending. Dress sizes are crazy from one brand to the next??? 🤔 Love the dress though. I’m going to still keep it in my sites.😉 Beautiful bride😉

sweettooth4k @jacksnana Aww thanks.... I know women.’s sizes are tough Vs men’s sizes are pretty straight forwsrd🙄. Yeah keep it mind... I will see if I can send you a sister bra chart— not just for my dress but others you may come across. I learned this tip from my daughter who works at Victoria’s Secret. Can be helpful to know what sister bra sizes you can do...

sweettooth4k @jacksnana lol.... I didn’t know what that meant either until my daughter became a bra specialist at VS. Basically if you look at the chart it will tell you what other size you can get away with. Adjusting the band size and or cup size to a different size but having it still fit like your usual size. I did t think it was a real thing but it is. Hopefully that is helpful😊

sweettooth4k @indigorose1284 sorry for slow response… I can measure the dress itself. I can’t do my measurements, since I have lost 40 lbs since my wedding. I would say that in regular dresses sizes, I wore a 14. My bra size is 36 DD. This truly is a gorgeous dress!
