missy980@wasabigirl the waist is up. These pants are oddly shape for measurements this is the best I could get if you are a 6 and want them to be a perfect fit I’d say small because they offer stretch and do to them being made they way they are you don’t want them super huge in the crouch area.

missy980@wasabigirl the beauty of these is that the waist band actually rise up so you can wear it up. I tried on the xl and left it raise and it flattens your tummy some. You’ll love them. The picture does t do justice for them.
