twinks00gHi there! I have been following your posts, they are so helpful. There is a pair of silver chanel dangle crystal earrings on sale on ging_n closet listed for $700. I cant seem to tell if they are authentic. I could purchase and send to posh to authenticate but before all that trouble i thought maybe you could take a look? It would be a mothers day gift to myself. 2 boys under 2, i gave up my heels so im treating myself, hopefully!! Thanks!

They were 600 at CHANEL when I bought mine a few years back. My friend wants a pair and found these. Could you please take a look and give me your opinion? Thank you again! mynahshine@lulu77777 ask to see the end of the C on the charm & count the chain links. It’s always exactly 20. That’s all I know to look for. I’m better at leather goods. I learned this lesson the hard way. Does the site offer authentication services?

I’ve been looking at dozens since I saw this post! Every pair I see are smooth in that area. All on Trade see and selling and sold for over 1000!!

mynahshine@galaxyofalexy I don’t believe the Chanel earrings you were looking at are authentic. I’ve never received a card with Chanel jewelry only bags with serial numbers. The earrings are under $500 so Poshmark won’t authenticate them. They were over $600 new in the Chanel boutique. I apologize if I have offended in any way. My intentions are to save you from making the same mistake I did. I learned the pricey way.

They originally sold for $600-$700 at Chanel (I don’t recall exactly what I paid now sorry) I learned the hard way & my intentions are to help. I apologize if I’ve offended in anyway.

mynahshine@anna1204 my advice is to take a very clear photo of the authenticity tag/stamp on the back. Then go online (Google is good) & see if the date on the stamp matches the year they were produced. You can also google image authentic ones & compare them. I’ll be home in 2 days, if none of this works I’ll send you my cell number & see if I can find out more for you

mynahshine@icleopark I thought you might want to see this. The earrings you’re looking at are not authentic. I apologize if I offended in anyway. The authentic ones are from 3 yrs ago & sold for $600 at Chanel. They should have a markings on the ends of each CC charm as seen above.

icleopark@mynahshine thank you!! No you did not offend me, but helped me! I actually saw so many earrings that looked like these but were also different lengths and got scared of being scammed. So I went to the Chanel store on Madison ave in NY and bought a pair! Unfortunately what you're saying about the pattern on the C charm is not necessarily true. The ones I bought in store is solid with no pattern and all the other pairs I checked in their inventory was the same. What store did you purchase yours?

mynahshine@icleopark the authentic ones have exactly 20 links in the chain & the ends of the CC charm have a crisscross pattern. The replicas are all different chain link counts & never have the pattern. It’s the only way to tell. You can buy them from Chanel online for $700 so its less than these most of the time anyway.

mynahshine@icleopark I sadly leave this the expensive way. I purchased a pair (not here) & found out they were fake. So I bought another pair at Chanel. My daughter now owns expensive fake earrings. Lol I later discovered replicas are only $30-$50 from China. So I started warning people.

The jewelry can have unique markings as style permits. I know even Chanel shop employees can’t always tell the difference w/jewelry. Even in Paris my friend was there & tested our theory. Lol

I’ve been studying to be an authenticator for several years now. Chanel is the only designer I’ve completed. It’s upsetting seeing Posh authenticate fakes. It’s sadly happened.

I know some of the pics are straight from the replica site, but she could have found them on Google image too. I wouldn’t buy from there, but that’s just me. Her retail amounts are way lower than reality on much of her listings. That worries me. She has a good rating though.

People definitely take advantage of that and try to make a 100% profit which is messed up in my opinion because Chanel does not value it to cost that much it’s costume jewelry.
