unicornhouse @magiedcat haha! I have a thing about notebooks. I love them. I have six Kate Spade notebooks still in their original plastic wrapping 😍 I love having blank notebooks. I’m also into vintage stuff, especially really random, weird things or from the 80s/90s. Pop music and bright colors yes please!

The other day I found a flip cheeseburger phone from the 90s and it was all I could do to leave it. Lol. I don’t even have a landline...and I was still tempted to buy as a “cool conversation starter”. That phrase gets me in trouble 😂

I have a men’s shirt collar and a pouch of unopened tobacco from R J Reynolds when they introduced their “Stud” blend and were giving away “free gifts” with a purchase. 🙃 So crazy but I was thinking, “random and crazy now...will be even more so when my son grows up.”

I have a vintage horse toy/figure from japan called a chagu chagu horse that’s from a festival celebrating work horses in Japan.

unicornhouse @magiedcat ooo a broach Collection! That sounds fab. Hats could get bulky but also could be displayed well. I dream of someday having a storefront/museum that houses all of my random treasures I’ve found. My collection of Betsey purses would have the glory they deserve 😍 and my checkers set from 1967 still sealed in original plastic, and my solid silver box shaped like a wedding cake 😂

unicornhouse @magiedcat hands down though my favorite random find ever is a teapot set called “Safari Santa”. The teapot is Santa riding an elephant, the creamer is a rhino, the sugar dish is a tiger, and there’s salt and pepper shakers shaped like a monkey and a tree. It’s so fantastically weird and I can’t find any info on it anywhere!

I can now identify real silver and crystal, spot a fake designer item a mile away, and have random pieces of knowledge about different types of pottery/art/toys/anything. It’s so fascinating!

zeeartiste My weirdest find was a small porcelain figurine from the 20’s or 30’s that had the head of a kewpie- ish baby but from the neck down it was a fish. Very creepy and strange. In fact, the eyes were silver and eerily seemed to follow you around the room. I was thrilled when I found it and snatched it up for $1.49. It sold for $50. 😁
