"Amour Shield", Chain Maille Chatelaine with a single oval shaped turquoise stone top center.
Settings for two more, one on each side of the frame near the hinges, but alas, lost many years back.
>used by both men and women, most popular during the 18th century, chatelaines usually fastened to belt or pocket, with chains bearing hooks on which to hang small articles such as watches, keys, seals, writing tablets, scissors, and purses.
