This would not seem to give you enough room comfortably. The bust on Size L stretches to about 38" (from 32"). I believe Size L would be perfect for you!

Its difficult for me to say if it will fit 16-18 because published sizing charts that I find online vary immensely. I have listed the bust and waist measurements, so best to be sure they are sufficient by measuring with a tape measure. Let me know if you would like the hip measurement too, and I'll be happy to take it. 🌻

I would suggest to measure around your widest bust area with your bra on and then select from the bust measurements I listed. Bras frequently have several band clasp options, sometimes inches apart, so it's tough to go by. Thank you.

The max measurements listed would be tighter than I would prefer, but it will not be transparent at all. The highest numbers listed will work, but I'd suggest to go with a larger size if needed to go lower in the range. Sizes on this dress are pretty true to size. I would suggest to use a soft measuring tape to take all of your measurements (with bra on), then use the before stretch measurements listed to help ensure optimal fit. Thank you. 🌻

stylechasers@jenanne523 Hi! This dress has such fabulous stretch. I wouldn’t worry about the top being too large, and would really concentrate on the bottom measurements when selecting a size. We suggest to measure around your hips then select using the measurements listed. L or XL most likely. Thank you. 🌻
