chiccasuals@jmarieg You could go with either one because these are meant to be worn open. I'm 5'4 and the S is above my ankle and the M is at the ankle. I normally wear a L, but the M is just a little snug. I think the S would be ok if you don't want the extra inch on the M. Hope this helps?

chiccasuals@sheriffhek Hi, According to manufacturer's chart the S is approx. 51 1/2". I'm 5'4 1/2" tall and the S is above my ankles. The L is approx. 52 -53" So, I would say about 2" - 3" difference between S & L. I'm still waiting for the shipment but not sure if it will be here before the 1st week of November. If it does, I will let you know ASAP when it comes in. I normally mail the same day or next morning. :)
