platinummermaid @hobsonwife if your policy states they will cover all items, they have to do as the policy dictates. I would go for free consult with an attorney versed in contract law, they should be able to provide you free advice. I went through this about 6 years ago with USAA, they are crooks!

thewifeysthings @hobsonwife I don't mean to be nosy but I work with insurance and construction...we do emergency services for insurance claims...I just would definitely recommend getting a public adjustor to handle the claim for you 😊

hobsonwife @65ds_do_it_btr Bless your heart...I feel like they try to get one over on you all the time. I don't understand how they can say water leaks aren't from a damaged ceiling. I am going to get a roofing company out here to confirm bc there is obvious waves in my roof and he is saying it's tacks coming loose not from hail and high winds. Kind of hard to convince me when part of my fence is down and my pool liner is ripped beyond repair. Oh did I mention lightening struck us as well.

thewifeysthings @hobsonwife Oh my...DO NOT LET YOUR INSURANCE COMPANIES ADJUSTOR IN YOUR HOUSE!!! They truly will screw you over...I see it on a daily basis...we had crazy storms this summer where trees had totally destroyed peoples houses!!! I'm in NJ so I don't know anyone I can refer to you but just look up public adjustors in your area. They represent you to your insurance company and handle everything for you. I compare it to going to court by yourself or having an attorney represent you.

thewifeysthings @hobsonwife You can email me at bgilliam.adjustor@ gmail.com if you want 😊 Definitely be very careful talking to your insurance company adjustor. They always try to deny everything!!! If you have already talked to them and/or let them in...you can still hire a public adjustor. The adjustor is free (they usually charge 20-30% of what your claim will settle for) but they will cover their fee cause they know how to get so much more from them

thewifeysthings @hobsonwife Normally you would have an emergency service company that will tarp your roof and kinda clean up for you too. Like if you had leaking inside they will spray for mold and stuff and dry things out with fans/dehumidifiers...its definitely a long and frustrating process but like I said I would get a public adjuster cause they handle everything for you and you will end up getting more $ to fix everything. Let me know if I can give you anymore info or help in anyway 😊

itzposhable You are in compassionate company...flood damage... freak water line broke destroyed custom kitchen had to fight insurer to get it all replaced. They'll do everything they can to not pay...what kind of relationship is that...take & take no give.

jadrch @hobsonwife That's really sucks !! We had lighting struck our front tree a couple of days ago, its still there just waiting for the rain to stop !! At our other home b4 we moved here we had a nasty hail storm and our whole subdivision got a "new look", every house was a wreck! @bjgilliam your a god send with the helpful advise.
