mymadteaparty@haloenae well.... let me just say Omaha has a TON of restaurants that are local. I am a "downtown" girl. The old market has many to choose from, as well as midtown crossing, black stone and Dundee. What kind of food do you like? We have upscale, farm to table, casual, a variety of international restaurants and hole in the wall places you'd never give a second look.

I live in a small town where everything closes at 10 and we have like one fancy restaurant and it's an expensive Italian place so on our trip we want to eat stuff we don't get to here lol go all out 😊

mymadteaparty@haloenae oh! Yeah, I know what you are talking about. The old market passageway. It is pretty. If you like art, there are several galleries. The restaurants are downstairs and are kind of in the fancier side. They are what I call "third date places" 😜 for seafood, I recommend Plank or Shucks. Both are downtown.

mymadteapartyIf you have the time, take a drive up Dodge a bit and hit Dundee. It's one of our historic neighborhoods and there are some good restaurants there as well. Mark's and Pitch are two I can think of off hand. If you are a fan of jazz, definitely hit up Jambo Cat! It's just below Mark's.

I'm not familiar with the place at all though so any fun things to do or fire work displays that you know of, that would be great lol sorry for all the questions. I need a tour guide 😂 I moved to this sucky town from a gorgeous, ginormous college town. I'm excited to see what Omaha has to offer(:
