nycfashiondiva @hiddenblue : it's base metal, strictly costume jewelry. distributor says its gold plated, but I can't guarantee how much. if you have any allergies then I would err on the side of it being mostly base metal. hope that helps.

nycfashiondiva @danamburke64 : hi there, the distributor says there is a slight overlay of gold just for the color. they advise not to get it wet, i.e. don't wear it in swimming pool or shower. it's also best to not get lotion on it. that's a big tip especially with rings. I have most of these pieces in my personal collection and haven't had any issues. hope that helps! and thanks for checking out my closet ✨
