@pjo511 Hi. No, it is not elastic. It is a stainless steel silver past the flower decorations. If I put the bracelet on my right wrist it opens on the inner side, toward my body, after the decorations. This is a great decorative bracelet for night when you r going out in a place the light can be picked up with the stones reflections. The bracelet doesn't have a clasp, it has a spring closure.
