two2016cousins I feel the same way! I have two sellers I recently purchased from (I wanted these items for I vacation I am taking) five days ago and they have yet to ship! I even left messages on their listing both of which were ignored! SOOO frustrating. I know they have seven days to ship, but seriously! I ship same or next day on all orders! I wish there was a way to make them ship, I really want my items! :(

danceluvr94 Such an absolute joke. Just spent $900 on Gucci bag that the seller has NOT shipped or even been responsive at all. I have a feeling the bag has already been sold on some other site and she hasn't been respectful enough to take down the Poshmark listing. I'm upset because the bag is one I've been wanting for a very long time and it truly was a very good deal. I paid her exactly what she asked for and...nothing.

kellyx2u I'm new to Poshmark and this is my first purchase and last purchase here. Dealing with this on my first purchase infuriates me particularly being ignored by the seller. I think this rule about waiting so long to get a refund is absurd when the seller is absolutely ignoring your messages. She sent me the lower offer and now ignores me? Not a good way to get new buyers Poshmark!

Revolt and make a stink and they'll change their ways! I got an entire big electric company, to change their customer service approach and policies, so I know it can be done. maxmax2 Hi, it is a real problem at Poshmark! I personally have had 27 items not shipped and right now waiting until Tuesday to cancel purchase #28 not shipped so I can get my $200 back. So sad when I really wanted the item. This never happens on eBay, Poshmark needs to do something. Makes me not want to shop😡

clarkmanagement Thank you so much for this post. Its good to know that I'm Not alone in this is bad trend. I have had 80% great experiences on here as a buyer. As a seller I use E B*y and always ship within 2 Business days. I purchased an expensive item on Poshmark never shipped and now having the same issue. After seller claimed was shipping. Who wants the hassle of constantly having to get refunds? Obviously I want the item that's why I bought it. Detracts from the sellers who actually want my $.

mytmo1 I am new to poshmark and my 1st purchase was something my granddaughter asked for specifically. It was out of stock everywhere else. I took the chance and wouldn't you know, my first purchase on Nov 18, was not shipping. The seller even lied and said it was shipping soon when I inquired. I waited a couple more days and she still did not ship, I inquired when she would ship and she just did not answer. I finally decided today to cancel. This was my first transaction and last on poshmark.

sherizel2019 This really upsets me as a seller. I go above and beyond to make sure my items are packaged carefully and shipped the the same day or the next day at the latest. It gives all us sellers a bad name when people don’t ship items. I don’t understand why Poshmark allows this to happen without shutting down the sellers closet. Leave comments on the item and other items that seller has warning people they don’t ship.

lorianak I just saw this post. I have my first non-shipper. She sent me an offer after I liked an item, and has been reminded by Poshmark to ship it, but no go. If she never ships I will report her as listed here: https://poshmark.com/community_guidelines It clearly states they must ship within 5 days of receiving the label or else may face temporary or permanent action, so I will report as stated on the guidelines page for violations "let us know by using the report function on any listing or Posher"

lorianak I just tried using both of these "report" buttons and it does not have any reason for "non-shipper" but I will choose some other reason and let them know that they need to address & include this reason on their report button as well as contacting them via email as per their own guidelines. Also I will post on the item page what this scammy rude seller did.

lorianak @sydneyalexis_ No, I ended up not having to in the end. I was going to wait the full 21 days before Poshmark issues the automatic refund but the seller ended up suddenly shipping it !?? Weird, but I was thinking of reporting on the person's "about" page under "harrassment" perhaps, since it is a form of harrassing others and then go on to explain everything and ask PM to add the option of "Did Not Ship Item" to their list. Then I was planning on adding a comment on the actual item page too.

I ordered a $300 pair of cowboy boots on January 2nd for a steal of a price and 6 days ago... the seller tells me she just got back into town and my purchase would be shipped the next day, and I still haven't received anything, nor will she respond to my new messages. The funny thing, she decides to go on vacation until January 31st right after my order was placed. I'm thinking about giving her another day or 2 then I'll cancel

Makes me not want to shop on this site. eBay sellers respond much faster. Posh should have a report seller button for the people that aren't active or don't ship items right away. At least have reviews on the seller so we as buyers can see other people's experience buying from the seller. This is a big problem.

I wrote a seller about a Tommy Hilfiger hat that cost about 116.00 and a few days after i purchased it i wrote the seller simply asking if my hat has shipped yet and she totally avoided me and never wrote back and my hat never shipped! Another seller did exact thing the same week! Posh should have a strike 3 policy and then reprimand these sellers that wont ship or respond back to buyers!

I have to wait for a refund to try to purchase again and start the process all over. Wanted this bag for a trip. I am done purchasing from Poshmark. berbs1551 Transaction off Poshmark, or Unsupported Item, those are the two options I’ve used to report them. It’s happened to me FOUR times with shoes. At least one seller had the decency to provide the reason that they disappeared from her closet, but offered a discount on a pair she had in a different color. But the others, yeah, they should all get reported & maybe Poshmark will make adjustments to how they allow people to conduct business through their platform.

So I commented under the item and she continued to ignore me even though she was being active on Poshmark. I eventually canceled the order and she never replied. dutasarah I couldn't agree more. I even asked the seller "look, if you sold the purse elsewhere and forgot to take down the post, I get it. Please just cancel my order so I can buy somewhere else." Do they? No. I am on my third purchase for the same purse I have tried to buy from 3 different sellers. And I hate that I cant leave a bad review because the items eventually gets cancelled. I started in the end of October 2019 selling my closet to buy clothes for myself that fit after a large weight-loss. I have sold and bought quite a bit. I have cancelled 15 sales after 14 days ish with no response sometimes, others they respond with shipping tomorrow, sorry got tied up. I think if Poshmark really cancelled the closets of those that do not participate

heatherstace I have had people literally talking to me the day before the 7 day window ended and then never shipped after verifying they would. Like if you dont have the item anymore or some crap, SAY SOMETHING. I wonder if poshmark does anything about it, because I think people could be making fake listings just to look like they are selling when they aren't. I've noticed the listing is never taken down after the exchange and it always says "sold" on it.

There really needs to be a better mechanism to include lower star ratings for a seller that doesn't ship timely. I'm surprised Poshmark doesn't recognize this.. I'm ready to take my business to other on-line consignment sites I have heard about.

repeataftermemk Add another bad seller to the bunch ....isabelle2193 purchased 8 days ago and no shipment, answers to when it will ship, 2 times with "tomorrow" Since Oct 25th 2019 until now...I have had to cancel 17 orders. Started by giving them 2 weeks. Now I cancel at 7 right away. They may not have my money, but Poshmark has my funds locked up while waiting for the item, so 7 and out. I feel that is exceptionally fair.

I've spent 350 last week and will be deleting this app all because of one bad apple. there are so many other better sites that actually HAVE customer support. had app for a week and that's all I need to see. got 2 items coming tomorow and that's it. I don't wanna cancel my order because it's the only pair I managed to find for less than $100 in pretty much new condition. My anxiety is killing me because I want MY shoes, I purchased them and it's unfair that sellers get to act like crap when shipping. Poshmark has to do something about bad sellers, I swear this'll probably be the last time I buy from here( I don't have much patience).

I placed the order on March 27. The wallet arrived on April 1, but the purse still has yet to ship, and I have to wait 10 days to cancel due to the extended shipping window. It upsets me because I really like that purse!

I’m not saying that I’m just stating the rules.. there is no 2/3 day rule not even on eBay anymore. I typically ship within 24/48 hours and if I can’t I Let’s advise immediately so they can cancel if needed.. some areas are on a lockdown, don’t have pick up options.. etc in the current state I’d give some people lead way.

I sell.. I buy.. and I work full time in critical care.. so given that we are all under pressure maybe we give people a break..

They may just be holding or think it’s like eBay when you add it to your cart.. if you want to offer a discount you can, what I like is you can offer ( I’m fairly sure) a small discount and no shipping discount unlike when your doing an offer to people who have liked an item and you have to do both..

tinkgrrrbell Agreed. Poshmark clearly doesn’t do anything about this, because they’re probably hoping some people who are busy will forget to request a refund in time. Otherwise their system wouldn’t charge you until the item ships. Lazy idiots never bother to log back in, or list the same item on multiple sites and don’t care. If Poshmark cared about customers at all, they’d enable a “three strikes, you’re out” rule for sellers who don’t ship. But they don’t, so they won’t.

I get we're going through a pandemic but I ordered it on April 3rd. Close to two weeks ago! She sent me a message Sunday that she was very sorry for the delay and that if I was still interested she'd ship first thing Monday morning. It's now Thursday afternoon and still nothing. I've sent her two messages asking if she'll ship and still nothing.

monkeytine My biggest gripe with this is that as a buyer, there's no way to tell if you're purchasing from a "bad" seller since there aren't true reviews. Love notes don't matter because they just give praise. I want to know that the person I'm buying from is reliable. I only haven't received one item in the past, but I've had a few come VERY late but I wanted the items badly enough that I just kept waiting long after 7 days. And currently I have one that hasn't shipped yet on day 7. It's frustrating.

One of the 2 sellers has several people commenting on their items about shipping status. If so many people are having a problem with the same seller, I think the seller should be banned.

This has happened to me twice in the past week & both sellers have logged on during this time so there is no excuse for not communicating with me or cancelling the sale if they don’t want bothered with it, so I can get back my money in a timely manner. I’m very understanding, so if they had an issue that they need more time, or can’t ship, that’s fine, but these rude sellers just go ignore, forcing me to wait the 10 days to cancel the order & get my money back.

I finally found what I’ve been looking for (NWT and a good price) and I just received an email about the delay in the seller shipping the item to them to verify authenticity. Close your account or take your items off if you changed your mind or at least send the buyer a message if you can’t make the timeframe. Have some consideration for other people!

Hasn’t shipped, messaged her 10 hours ago to ask if it would be shipping soon (don’t want to cancel because I’m in love with the bag) but may have to. Shows she logged on 8 hours ago and never bother responded. Super frustrating. All the times I’ve purchased, this is the only issues I’ve ever had. Don’t know why we’re charged $7 for expedited shipping if that doesn’t happen

laflossie I’m a fairly new shopper, and I find Poshmark pretty aggravating. Several of my purchases have been cancelled because the item had been sold elsewhere. And I’m now waiting for a seller to ship a bag that I purchased on 4/30. I’m sure she still has it, because I had requested an interior picture and (a week later) she posted one. I’ve now posted 2 friendly comments asking her when she will be shipping. No reply, and she has logged in today and yesterday. I prefer shopping on eBay.

elizabethaknee I've just recently started to actually buy from PM, after a long time of browsing... Out of 18 orders, 9 of them have had issues. One was damaged, but the seller was very kind about it. The rest of those were people not shipping, or they shipped to the wrong address. And I always make sure to vet out the seller, with an offer or question in the comments about when it can be shipped first. As soon as I get my last items that I'm waiting on, I'm done. I'm going back to Nordstrom Rack.

chadellanel Yes! I have two items right now, some Nike roshes, and some grey Nike pros. Ordered some black Nike pros SAME day as the grey, and the black ones came 3 days later! And the shoes and other grey pros haven’t even been shipped. It’s been well over a week! Whenever someone buys from me I get super excited because they chose to spend their money on an item of mine! I do it like that second, and make sure it’s cute and is shipped out the same day or next!

luvbeads I feel like a non-shipping seller should be flagged. Unless there’s a reasonable explanation, they must complete two transactions following the non-ship to remove the flag. I’m dealing with a seller now who has yet to communicate or ship from 5/15. My hands are tied until after the holiday weekend on an item I could have purchased from a more considerate seller. I’ll leave a comment for the item revealing the seller never shipped or communicated after I cancel the order 5/26. So annoying.

I think my offer is a good starting point (she’s asking 50 for a clutch I’ve seen in other colors listed for 30, and Ive offered $40, then 42). Poshmark seriously needs to have an automatic inactive button, which does not allow purchases to go through sellers accounts who are not active. This chick sends me a dress covered in yellow stains and you should see the way she packed the item, the box was flimsy and had one tape holding it together. happy_sunshine6 Had this issue with @sherinn and left a nice thread with updates on it to warn other buyers. I recommend everyone do this. Hopefully people will notice and not buy from these sellers. This has happened to me twice now and makes me want to boycott poshmark altogether. I'm a seller too and could never imagine not communicating with a buyer or not wanting to get their item to them asap. I had to wait the full 10 days before I could ask for a refund. It's not fair to the buyers at all.

The other one is ignoring my comments and still says “pending shipment scan” and i order that june 10th!!! I’m so frustrated that there isn’t a direct way to reach sellers. I’m so a guy that I’m thinking of posting a buyer beware notice in her other listings. But then, I’ll probably never receive the item. Also, I keep telling myself to never shop on Poshmark again, bit then I see something, and voila - here I am.

I purchase Saturday, and it’s now Friday and my item still hasn’t been shipped. Anyways long story short, she said she’s put in a ticket to Poshmark. Does anyone know what that means? There's no way to message the seller, no obligation for them to respond, no way to leave negative reviews to warn others. And yes, while Poshmark will refund our money, they also let the scam seller KEEP the money too! Yup, true story. I guess that's why this behavior seems to continue on with poshmark. There's no consequences for these people and no way to warn others.

I reached out again and she says she dropped it off the day before... 13 days now. Still no jeans. Started to pay attention to when a seller post new items, communicate w/ buyers and/or when things are sold..gives me an idea whether to purchase from them or not - no activities in more than a month or so, no buy.

My 2nd bad experience, 11 days with no ship, no response. she saw that I cancelled and messages me to repurchase. And then never responds or relists over a week later. And now is messaging me again to buy, but still hasnt relisted the item. So PM must of took her money. I read her other sold listings, she is a repeat offender of a no ship/no response seller, and PM lets this continue.

The closest to gauge a seller is the about page shows avg ship time & date last active, and/or reading comments in sold listing which is all time consuming and ridiculous! Personally, I prefer buying & selling on ebay. Just started using PM this year. At the end of the day, as long as I get my money back if PM wants to lose money & business on their end thats their problem.

But after the allotted time, if you don't even attempt to contact me and say "Hey, I'm delayed" or even RESPOND to my inquiry, it is unacceptable and erodes the buyer's trust in Poshmark as a reliable selling platform. I agree with others, there needs to be a way to rate sellers. Now, I simply leave this comment under the item: "Seller never shipped item, nor responded to inquiry. Had to cancel order."

ect080802 I purchased an item 10 days ago. It hasn’t shipped. I politely asked if she was going to ship. I can see that she’s been recently active, but she hasn’t responded. So frustrating! I was trying to give her the benefit of the doubt. I agree that accounts that don’t ship should be flagged. However, as a seller, I have had 1 of my packages lost by the post office. Sellers should have the option to report a package as lost as well. Obviously, no charge to the buyer, but to at least let them know.

lilyspring I submitted the following idea to Poshmark Support. A “Not Shipped” banner should be displayed next to the “Sold” banner when the buyer cancels for non-shipment after 7 days or if Poshmark auto cancels after 21 days. Buyers will then be able to see how many listings were not shipped and make a more informed decision on whether or not to buy. It also removes the ability to create a false history of sales. When sellers are held accountable, they may act more responsibly.

Add A “Not Shipped” status should be added to the filter menu that already has the “Available” and “Sold” statuses when searching a Closet. I think they have the technical ability to easily implement this.

geevee777 @lilyspring Thank you for pursuing this. Maybe Poshmark should also require a backup contact in case the seller is incapacitated, especially in light of what's happening now. I've made two purchases in a row where the sellers have neither responded nor shipped. I have no idea if something happened to the seller, but a backup contact could at the very least contact the buyer to let them know the shipment is delayed or put the shop on "vacation." I mean, am I supposed to report the seller?

Then report after you have contacted the seller on the listing, either waited 7 days to cancel or waited 21 days for Poshmark to auto-cancel. Include other instances where the seller failed to ship to others. Take screenshots and add them to your message. Go to the Poshmark Support Center and use “contact Poshmark”. Don’t use the report feature in the listing. I hope you get your purchases soon.

misxsummer Thanks for this page! I have experienced similar frustration with non-active users with active listings on Poshmark. It is especially frustrating to make a reasonable (not lowball) offer and be completely ignored. I always check the about status on Poshers' closets whenever I like something. If it doesn't list a date there, then the Posher isn't active. If a Posher hasn't been active within the past 3 days, I often find that they are inactive or non-shippers.

misxsummer Poshmark could remedy this issue by simply setting a default to make a closet on vacation mode if the Posher is inactive for a certain amount of time (or doesn't ship a purchased item). That way, the Posher would be forced to re-open their closets, and if they continued to remain inactive or not ship Poshmark could disable the closet permanently. I think Poshmark wants to keep user numbers up regardless of user activity.

I saw that they had updated another listing 3 days ago. I think that even though I know my money will be refunded...I should be able to leave negative feedback after an attempt to communicate has been made. Because really what is the point of being on here if you can't buy the things you want? It's so annoying.

PM clearly doesn't care ONE BIT about fraudulent sellers (I consider it fraud to regularly list things here and not ship, not contact the seller, never communicate, not remove unavailable items, etc.). NOT COOL, and when you try to report a seller or item, Poshmark gives ZERO options for this. I agree w/comments above saying there should at least be a way for us to show other buyers who they're dealing with.

One claimed it was lost, another said if was “stolen out of the mailbox,” another just ghosted, and a fourth admitted that it was a fraudulent listing and told me to “get a life” when I complained. She kept listing the same item and PM refused to take it down. You can cancel it, but then the seller doesn’t have any feedback showing they stiffed the buyer. If you’re not actually shipping, you shouldn’t be allowed to list.

I then noticed she prices it higher and sells it again. I doubt the user will get the item but I wish they knew how fake she is. madelainemachel This JUST happened to me! Seller lied and said mailed three days ago? No tracking info, no update in comments (I tried.) Rude as she literally lied about it. I cancelled the order today. POSH should ban them in my opinion. At least communicate with your buyer and no need to lie? I will never buy from her again. And of course it was a coat that I really wanted😭

I made 1 5star sale from that situation. But Poshmark caught up to me & temporarily booted me. I had to petition to be reinstated 😓. That was my karma I guess though I had no I’ll intent. I now confirm on the post the day that I shipped and offer the expected delivery time window usps gives me.

I’ve had a buyer say weird things about an expensive item that I had picture proof to the contrary... they wanted to return the item No prob! Surprise The item never showed up AND they got a refund 😒. I’ve had some bad experiences and some great ones and somehow managed to make friends on here! 😂

swolfe1979 Not only are the sellers who don’t ship what they sell a problem, all the inactive sellers are too! 95% of the listings I find are from inactive sellers. Poshmark will leave up months to years old listings to make it appear it has more users. It’s a scam, eBay doesn’t allow endless listing to pollute it’s platform. Poshmark needs a good clear out all it’s listings, I’d bet maybe a few thousand at most would remain if it cracked down on inactivity and illegal items sold.

On September 25, Poshmark announced that they confidentially filed form S-1 (registration statement) with the SEC for an IPO that will offer Class A common stock to the public in the future. It can take 6-9 months to a year for the SEC to review it. For now, we have to prescreen sellers by asking questions and wait for responses.

Poshmarks business model is based on users plain and simple, having fake profiles, inactive users, makes poshmark appear to be a better company then it is. lilyspring @swolfe1979 it’s assumed not all users are going to buy or sell at any given time. Investors put $87 million into company in 2017. Total fundraising $160 million. Apparently they liked what they saw. Now it’s up to the SEC. I wouldn’t call it a scam after putting company up for scrutiny this way. There are 60 million users and millions in sales. It’s 9 yrs old, historical sales data is also looked at. To say only a few thousand would remain after “culling inactive ones” is not reasonable.

By poshmarks own numbers users are 50 million not 60 million and poshmark doesn’t disclose sales figures or active user data. Bots can be users, a one time sale could be a user. So in actuality poshmark user totals are skewed at best. If poshmark has to tell users to check when a seller was online, it’s platform has a problem.

Poshmark does none of these things FYI, poshmark is still privately held, it can disclose what it does or doesn’t want. It’s sales are based on what “it” says, not actual sales

Some will lie and say “oh I shipped it” and it clearly says label created but not in possession of USPS....lol We are not that dumb people. Ship the packages as promised, it’s really not that hard.

stylebelle @roberts7386 I used to put packages through the wall slot at the post office instead if waiting in line. They would show “in possession” 2 days later after sitting in bin for 2 days. It made me look like a liar. I go to the counter now and get packages weighed, scanned and get receipts. Haven’t had a problem since and they would go out same night to next facility or destination.

Being understanding that things happen, I try not to be pushy...but really?? A week to ship? I also had one experience where the seller offered me a discount, I accepted and never shipped- 8 days later I sent her a note like “hey just wanted an eta”...no response. So 5 days after that 🙄 I cancel. And guess what, the boots are relisted on her page 🙄

After a day, the “seller” cancels my order stating the reason “Bundle with other order” but they don’t have any other items in their closet. Then the “seller” BLOCKS me and deletes my comments but relists the item. I continue watching the items and observe this pattern repeat for other buyers where their comments are deleted and the item is relisted.

It's funny how poshmark takes our money right away, but tells us to wait 10 days to ask for a refund. Plus, we as the consumer pay for expedited shipping (1-3 days). I understand what's going on, but there should be an avenue for sellers to communicate with the buyers (that is, if they don't ignore you lol) similar to DM instead of comments.

These type of shenanigans have been going on too frequently on this app. It ruins it not only for the buyers, but the good sellers, too. peacefullygab I’ve noticed this too. I check the date they last updated the item and then make an offer or comment on the item with a question. Problem is most people list stuff and forget about the app. There should be a time limit for the items if they don’t sell within a certain time frame they expire and have to re list or something. We should all follow each other here on this thread so we know who’s serious about selling and buying!

luxelover2 I guess I didn’t learn my lesson after my first disaster of a purchase on PM. On Monday night, I purchased NWT sandals & confirmed with the seller that she would ship on Tuesday. She still hasn’t shipped bc she can’t find a box big enough to fit the shoe box... the sandals + box are quite small and will have no problem fitting in a USPS priority box. I’m starting to lose my patience with these sellers not shipping promptly but that’s my fault for purchasing again after I said I wouldn’t.

I messaged to ask about shipping status and no response. It was never shipped and Poshmark automatically refunded my money a couple days later bc it went past the 21 days or whatever their limit is.

lmricks25 My first purchase on POSH never shipped. The seller reached out in the beginning, think she wanted me to buy all three pieces she listed. I only wanted one so I guess thats why she didnt ship. I reached out to @mlmcoy2 and she never even gave an excuse just ignored me. Not sure what the point of this site is. If they don't plan to sell why list it.

One time I had a seller no-ship, I got refunded and then she blocked me. I asked Poshmark why bc I hadn’t done or said anything to her, all I did was pay. Poshmark apologized and gave me a $5 credit for seller’s bad behavior.

vintageaddict12 I think that one of the biggest issues is that this app is just TOO easy to use and will attract some really lazy personalities. The ease in which you can list is definitely a bonus, but it also attracts a lot of flakes because once they sell, it's like, "omg I need to do x,y,z? Nbd, not my problem!" There aren't many ramifications for problem sellers like this. Posh advertises how easy it is to sell on the app, but for some, once the sale is made, it's too much work, it seems.

megsr7399 @sherizel2019 you can, and I do! I've had about 4 items where this has happened. I try to give the seller the benefit after Posh sends me the email that they tried to contact the seller re: shipment with no success. I post a comment on the item politely asking for the shipment eta and give it a day or two. After that, I let them have it and warn other buyers. I honestly think some of these sellers are doing this as a scam thinking the purchaser will forget about it and they can keep the money!

lynnhposh01 The only 'comfort' I can find after wasting a lot of time trying to contact my seller is that hundreds of you experienced this too! @realtormgg does this too, I've left several comments in PM asking about the status of my shipment and she is totally unresponsive. Even tried to contact her outside of PM because she's a realtor and easy to contact by phone or email, and was totally ignored. And she was active recently so I know she's aware of the sale.

1925cottage I've spent a lot of money on Poshmark in the last year, but I'm about done with this company. There are far too many sellers who either never respond to inquiries, or don't ship an item when purchased. Right now, I'm trying to get a seller, @zziggystarrdust, to ship a pillow I bought on Jan.17 and paid full asking price for. Appears there are no consequences for this kind of unethical business behavior. But I'm not canceling. If she doesn't ship, she deserves the negative mark on her account.

zziggystarrdust @swithinsoames this has happened to me too, i have had the experience of poshmark orders being cancelled, delayed, and misrepresented..however i have an understanding that life happens 🤷🏼‍♀️ i also have an understanding that this is the nature of poshmark. if it does meet my expectations, then i always have the option of buying items full price from licensed business owners. i communicated very clearly with you that shipping was delayed and was responsive every step of the way.

em22trees Yes! Same! Esp. when their Posh account is showing updates regularly! Doesn't that mean they have been active with every update? I've had things bought out of bundles I've made, waiting to be able to cancel. It's miserable & often it's the items I really wanted, so I discard the bundle. Also, why seller's don't counter offer instead of declining either??? Every seller is different, so frustrating. We all are under too much stress, now, I try never to add to anyone's stress, pandemic or not.

She has a 1 day seller rating badge but it's been 6 days and she cannot ship my earrings. Its so frustrating because I ordered these earrings ahead of time and now its been nearly a week and she still has not shipped. artofsoul12x What confuses me is that unlike Ebay, there is nothing to gain from not shipping. Sellers cannot be paid till they ship so there is certainly a huge incentive to ship and yet very active users just don't ship. I don't understand it at all. Is it mental illness? Do these sellers get some kind of thrill from it? Nothing else makes any sense to me.

heelszombie @leeshannon77 we may need to create one: because this gives honest sellers more difficulty in selling their items and us buyers more difficulty in finding legit sellers. it also gives Poshmark a bad name and reputation as well. the only alternative I think would be to create a good list: of those sellers who ship fast, and who deliver really good products as promised.

About a week after I canceled the order and was refunded my money from Poshmark, the seller apologized and asked if I wanted to purchase again? I said yes, because I really liked the item. cogitoergovendo Consider, also, that when this happens, Posh gets an interest free loan for 7-14 days. Consider what the interest penalty would be if you were to take out a personal loan for that amount of time. That’s incredibly unfair and very likely why there is no movement to restrict these predatory sellers.

I bought a pair of shoes and it had been quite a few days before she was soppose to ship them so I commented when will you shop these out. And she said over the weekend. I sent a email to Poshmark and all I got is an apology also asked me to cancel. So I did. Sure enough, seller posted the item for $10 more! So I left a comment said” oh this is what I ordered and never received. Seriously “ to let people know that she is a bad seller.

stylishacademic I am going through this right now. I get that delays happen: once, the seller was a young mom in an area that had gotten hit by a snowstorm. This time, I am not sure. The seller answers quickly before sale, but after purchase, there's not even "label generated" or "awaiting scan." I fear that she wants to let the order expire and then relist higher. I don't want to nag, as she seems volatile. It also affects whether I can list an item that I hoped to replace with something more flattering.

I did need the item by next week, as I am chairing a (Zoom) event at which I wish to look professional and dispel any notion that I always schlep around in ratty khakis and a half-decent sweater. Now those funds (partly credit from one of my sales) are locked up unless she honors the purchase request or the time runs out on it.

acvdep This is a great thread and I agree- Poshmark needs to do more to remove these sellers or flag their accounts. I also think allowing 7 days to ship before they will provide a refund is too long.... when Poshmark allows a refund for an item for example they only give the buyer TWO days to ship it back! It’s not right that they hold our money hostage for a week and then their are no repercussions to sellers. Any ideas on what we can do to get Poshmark’s attention?

I usually buy Disney or Alabama stuff. If I see an item I like on here, I look to actually buy it on the E auction site or M ercari etc bc Poshmark is such a hassle. I’m curious where most honest sellers cross post to, if they do.

stylishacademic I just had to cancel an order that did not ship. I gave it 14 days. I did rather timidly contact seller, who assured me, twice, that the item was about to ship, but it never did. The event for which I needed the clothing came and went. I finally cancelled late on Sunday, reasoning that if it had been picked up at ANY time, it would have been processed by then. Oh well.

jackilevett Preach!!! I Understand if someone is out of town or has personal things going on and I don’t mind waiting an extra few days or so for an item. I don’t mind waiting even a week and a half or so for someone to ship something I purchased that I’m really excited about having in my closet. I just can’t stand when a seller actively negotiate the price with you and accepts your offer and then doesn’t ship. Wait why are you making a deal if you have no intention of shipping the item?

Over 12 days I messaged her 3 times, kept getting a "so sorry, forgot because of xyz excuse, doing it today!!" Finally she confesses she can't find it. I cancel, get refund, leave comment on her page about it. A few days later, hunting for a replacement, it's back listed with NEW PICS!!! So not only did she refuse to ship, she lied to me about not finding it.

They hop on Posh every once in a while, maybe they forget, maybe they're too lazy to worry about it, and while we at the other end are disappointed and frustrated, they're all "whatever", IF they even think about it at all. In some ways that's almost worse.

pandabelle1028 Also, I shouldn't have to do this, but I always check when the seller was last active. Anything more than 10 days and I don't even bother to like. There's just too many inactive postings. I found the only matching wallet I've ever seen for my favorite bag, only to see they were inactive since Dec. 6. Then I message something like, "Are you taking offers?" to see if they respond at all. Even being proactive about it, I still get screwed sometimes.

timelessmusic I find it annoying that Poshmark does not do something more about this. A seller that never responded to my purchase is still shown as having a full closet of sellable items. I did receive a refund but I am noticing that there is a trend of sellers that are not plugging in to their closets and responding. WHAT IS THE DEAL?? Are you selling or not??? Is Poshmark wanting to be known as the lazy sellers platform???

swolfe1979 I just bought a pair of shoes that was painted and the seller didn’t think to disclose that. They also took pictures so you couldn’t see it. The pair I bought before that stunk like cigarettes, I had use four dryer sheets to get the smell out. After 4 days in a bag they still smell. Poshmark wants to be higher class, then have real customer service! This is a joke

arettas I recently purchased a bundle from a seller who never shipped. I inquired on day 4 thinking my sale may have been lost in the list of new followers. She responded that she was going to ship that day but didn't. On day 7, I inquired & didn't receive a reply. On day 8, I canceled the order. Her closet, that had multiple listings, now only shows 9 "Sold" items. Did she legitimately delete all her listings or did she block me?

geevee777 @susie01136 Under the item you purchased, make a comment like, "Seller never shipped this item, didn't respond to inquiries, had to cancel." Put that comment under their "about" page too. It's a way to warn other buyers. These people need to be shut down.

I've had a majority of great experiences with Poshmark sellers, but those few that didn't ship and didn't respond absolutely ruin this platform.

Get a refund, post the seller's name here, and maybe keep an eye out for the shoes to be relisted (although the seller probably will sell them on another platform.) Then, comment on the new listing that you purchased the shoes and the seller never shipped. You'll be doing a service to prospective buyers. Good luck!

Why does Poshmark REQUIRE everyone to pay $7.45 for shipping, if it’s still going to take more than a week to get it?! That’s just ignorant! I’m really hoping she ships it but so far she’s ignored my offer and my comment asking if she knew when she’d have time to ship. Why visit the app if you aren’t doing anything ? I complained to Poshmark about not getting my g*ddamned refund and they blamed it on my bank- Chase- my bank never has issues with refunding me for services not provided. Shady AF. Some lame Poshmark 'rep' stopped answering my queries via email and I finally got my money back. nychelle1983 I wish there were a way to alert other buyers to 'sellers' who never ship their items and never respond. You can't leave any sort of review for them. When I'm deciding whether to buy something I look at the seller's average shipping time and ratings but there's no way to tell if they cheat buyers on stuff they didn't ship.

It shows she was just active. Etc. I purchased something full price. Never shipped. Has not answered ANY inquiries…in which I was both polite and patient. And I really wanted the item. Their avg shipping times go unaffected which is unreasonable. they should be held accountable. But P.M. chooses to do NOTHING. I've seen sellers cancel an order after not shipping for weeks (after lying and saying they did ship it) and then they relist the item. Shame on Poshmark!!!

dianaftw929 Agreed! So frustrating. Poshmark should require communication after purchase, so that we know the item is being shipped. The lack of messaging on this platform is inexcusable. Poshmark should also penalize sellers who do not ship more than 3x. I was shocked to see that I had no way of contacting the seller after they didn't ship the dress I paid for. I tried leaving a polite but "looking forward to getting this!" message, and nothing. Or perhaps PM should take down the inactive seller sites.

After she didn’t ship I looked at all her “sold” clothing and there was only about five others that she sold and every single one was cancelled for not shipping. There should be a point where if you continue to not ship, you get banned.
