I am wondering if anyone else is suddenly having issues with some of their packages not being scanned in the USPS system and Posh not showing you have shipped when you have already shipped ? Boxes then not being able to be tracked or delays happening ?

Same the with a LV bag I bought on Tradsey, no update and it took a week, the poor seller was freaking out!!! But thank god, it showed up a week later, when it was 2 day priority! vivacouture@javagirl1 hi Brenda ! That's happened to me numerous times in the last 30 days and it's been quite a fiasco !! I have found out from more than 3 post offices that at least where I live / the post offices no longer scan at those facilities and even if I stand in line they will not do it . They have told me its staffing is not enough and others have said they are not required to do it with the kind of label I print etc ... So I have emailed posh about this ongoing with some of my orders and trying to figure on now for myself if it is local or nationwide Etc !!! I am sorry you are going through a similar situation !

christamichellUSPS is all messed up. I'm generally on the receiving end of shipments, and I've never had worse USPS package service than I have had in the last few months. I had a package scan through in California On a Tues morning, and that same evening scan that it was out for delivery. I'm in NY. Package got here 3 days later with no more scans during those 3 days. And that was from an Amazon purchase, not Posh.

cjtangYes! I dropped off 3 packages at my local post office Friday and only 2 scanned it (smaller items) and the bigger box has no tracking. Hoping it updates Monday or if they missed the scan it gets scanned at the arrival city. Sherrie! Similar thing happened to me! Usually I drop off packages in the bin but with a particularly pricey item a few weeks ago, I actually waited in line so I could hand deliver package and have them scan in/give me a receipt. This wasn't a busy time but the teller waived me off and said if it's a prepaid label they don't scan at desk and to drop off--this just doesn't really seem right. Especially during a non-busy time frame and having waited in line. So it feels like it's up to the fates when my package gets scanned and causes me anxiety. My tracking almost always updates after hours and sometimes next day and doesn't matter if I drop off at 10a or 4p 👎 😰😳😥

dimple421Same here.....I waited over a week for a 3 day priority package order to get to me...and no scanning update from the time it left the sellers state till after it reached me!!...On another package...not related t posh...the package was totally lost...yet to be found....3 months later!!!!!!!!!!

ashleygabYes!!! I shipped something on the 6th and still no updates! I was told from the post office that the only "guaranteed scan" is the delivery scan which makes no sense. According to posh it hasn't been shipped at all and the buyer hasn't received it 😔 So frustrating!

meboutiqueI just had to take over 40 tracking receipts to the post office since they don't ever show being shipped. But this was all from eBay. They are blaming eBay but seeing this makes that clearly not the case.

I am reading through the responses it's been very frustrating for me in the last month especially because 1 order just vanished and now another one has for a very sweet repeat buyer . All in the last 30 days . I went to 5 different post offices trying to resolve the issue of "scanning " to get a receipt if shipment . All said the same thing - they no longer scan and some USPS offices do not have scanners anymore . A couple of times someone was nice enough to do it but that was an exception . Now I have one package missing again and spent so much time trying to explain through numerous emails to posh support . @kelliecurtis

movieclosetI had two gals wanting the same item. I lowered the price for my buyer and the other gal snatched it out from under her. Realizing what she did she canceled the order.....but here's my problem! When I went to my email, I didn't realize there were two shipping labels in one email. I sent the package to the wrong gal that had originally bought it and given it up. So the package sent with a tracking to the wrong gal and my order to the correct gal ended up being canceled because it showed I never sent it. The wrong gal received it on the 6TH but claims she never got it and now I'm out the item and the money. The sweet gal that wanted it is so upset, not with me because I showed her the email with two different shipping labels. I emailed posh but they only sent a generic response! Furthermore I sent a pair of $265.00 boots and the gal said they were not a described. 9 days later after she received them posh said the gal is sending them back to me with no explanation other than they had PROOF they were not as described! I had over twenty photos of these boots and they are exactly as I described them. Meantime two weeks later I still don't have the boots and it's the end of boot season. I still don't have the boots and have no clue as to why they are sending them back. Posh refuses to answer any of my emails.

Also the tracking wasn't updated until today. There were both still in my post office last saturday...according to the usps site. Really weird.

Yes it's a problem because of the USPS not scanning and then with the shipping recorded on posh it's causing quite an issue . I found a solution with my mailman / that he would scan for me but he cannot generate a receipt . I was told in The many USPS offices they stopped scanning several months ago .

meboutiqueI stopped letting my carrier take my packages around November. I moved to a new home and had a bunch of packages go missing. Not ones I was shipping and ones being delivered. I filed a complaint with the post office and now all my deliveries make it but I still go to the post office. I didn't realize they stopped scanning at the post office. Most of my shipments are fine, but about 10-20% of them have scanning issues. It does cause a huge problem! Hopefully they will get their act together when everyone starts complaining.

jaekumaHi there! I thought I was the only one having this issue. I guess we're all on the same boat! I shipped two packages on the 16th and they are supposed to be delivered today but I still haven't received any updates on the USPS iPhone app. I also had the same issue with another package I shipped almost a week ago but a few days later it was finally delivered. I would advise all the ladies to keep the acceptance receipt from USPS nearby just in case. I'm pretty sure this is all due to the bad weather. 😬

jaekuma@javagirl1 I know the feeling! I sent them an email when I had the same issue and it took them a few days to reply. Honestly, I had to solve the issue on my own and kept calling the post office non-stop until the package was finally delivered. These scanning update delays can definitely affect us as sellers and most buyers might not understand this and give us a low rating even tho this isn't our fault and it is out of our control. Hopefully this issue will be fixed soon! 😥

beansmama19@vivacouture Hi. I didn't read all your messages, however, if your are printing from your phone or iPad , it could be that your label is too small. Try doing your labels from your laptop or PC. There is a difference . My mail carrier told me that was my problem

themissnixonAlthough this is terrible, this makes me feel so much better seeing it's not just something I've been doing personally! I have been so stressed lately with my shipped orders not being scanned until sometimes in the Arriving city. Luckily I have amazing customers who understand once the item is out d my hands its out of my control and have been patience with this nonsense. They need to get it together & quick. I felt the same as you described and wanted to see if it was local but clearly it is an issue and mainly from a Customer service stand point ( not to mention that our ship day ratings are effected ) I set up an agreement with my mailman for now that he will scan my boxes as after the last 2 incidents I slowed down on posh because I didn't want to disappointment a buyer or hold my breath for a package to arrive !!! Hopefully it can be resolved somehow !!

Nothing has happened with posh in rectifying this generally speaking - I explained In several - and separate emails with respect to packages of mine that were not scanned and then canceled because of the 7 day mark so when a box is cancelled it can't be tracked -- therefore they closed the case and the buyer & myself were refunded . I will now tag the posh team to read this post . I completely agree with you and also that it effects some buyers willingness to shop a closet again if they are a first time customer etc ... I now have an agreement with my mail man to scan for me while I am living at my current home ( we may be moving though ) so will have to figure out a solution later , however the local USPS have told me they are no longer scanning at their facilities for labels that we print our selves ( pre- paid) . Have you had that happen at your local USPS ? Xo

shoppatternsI usually drop off my boxes at the post office, but they're not very friendly there and usually pretty busy, so I just drop off the boxes. I usually get an email late at night. But the last time I didn't get an email, so on my next order I drove a little further away to a different post office just to be sure. I'll talk to my post office next time to see if they are changing anything! Posh definitely needs to communicate with us and the post office asap. I don't like worrying about my customers not receiving their orders within the 2-3 priority mail. Lets hope for a resolution quick.

vivacouture@shoppatterns that's the same scenario I had -- and I went to 5 different ones in and around Beverly hills . Because suddenly some of my packages were getting scanned and some weren't ( I had high volumes in November and December ) I started asking for receipts and to have them scan for me per posh emails stating to do so but the post office personnel would not scan saying they no longer scan as of several months ago ! Do let me know what your post office says and yes I hope it gets resolved quickly too !

Please see this post / above comments and if you get a moment to read about the USPS scanning or rather lack of consistent scanning process as apparent in all the above comments in different areas of the U.S. I have dealt first hand with this issue in the last few months . I know how important customer service is to you and us all here on posh. It certainly is my priority also for all my clients here on Poshmark . I have already sent support my related concerns however the isolated incidences were addressed but there seems to be an inconsistency in the USPS guidelines and the posh guidelines with respect to having packages scanned at the USPS. Which is resulting in many packages not getting delivered / delayed / lost . I would love to speak further with any of you on this matter . Thank you , Sherrie

I strive hard for perfection with Buyers & treat them as if they were in my store until they walk out (in this case, receive & open their package). I personally have been on the receiving end of missing packages, etc. & it's upsetting.

I do have a couple of Sellers that when I purchase, the item arrives immediately. An off Posh experience, an order was placed with a high end depth store over the phone.

gumbob@vivacouture All items had to be ordered through their online system (which the associate did while on the phone). One item was in their store located 15 miles away. The warehouse package arrived 3 days prior to the item that was shipped the same day less than 15 miles away, smh 🙆💁

It took almost a week to get it resolved and find a package. The next times - I just waited a few days and if I didn't get the shipping info, I contacted Poshmark immediately.,

Just asked the other day if they will stop and was sold supervisor feels if someone is patient enough to wait inline, they should be given a receipt. It's crazy how much revenue they are getting on priority but reaching destinations like snail mail.

marly911@hmh34psu we all know that bull. Most people exile taxes and delays were since the end of last year. Open postal inquiry if you haven't received or no updates. That will make someone manually search for package. I'm impatient and always open inquiry. Normally you will see movement next day.

The 5 or so USPS offices I have gone to will not scan and refuse to even when I have stood in line . I have spoken with the managers too and they have said its their new policy. I have contacted posh support about it because it's effecting a lot of people !

marly911@vivacouture after reading this the other day, I addressed with my PO. I was told they will still scan but if it ever comes a time they don't, add an extra $2.00 to your item and ask for signature confirmation. At that time you will be given an additional scan receipt but remove the attachment and have Po scan both. That will be a solution for getting a receipt.

marly911I'm in NJ. If you do postage online, there is a scan form they must scan upon picking up and they leave with you as a receipt. With posh labels add the signature confirmation at window and they print receipt and that way you can always email posh with something. Posh will accept. I now add the additional $2. To my items if I want signature.

modaragazzaIt's crazy. The order was made on the 18th.. I always ship right away same day. I left it in my mailbox for my mailman to pick up. He's usually good with my packages. The only thing I see is status: pending USPS scan. I have packages coming in like yours and the status says shipped. I've never had a situation like this before.

gatorgrad1214Yes! I live in Miami. I had my last package get lost. Shipped in 3/31 but filed an approved claim on 4/15. Just shipped a package on 4/22 and it just says pending USPS scan. I've contacted USPS but they said I have to wait 5 days to open a claim, by which time the label will be expired and the package won't get delivered anyway. I hate the USPS.

ltruscelloAh I've noticed this too! Drives me insane! I'm not sure if anyone else already mentioned this, but if you look at your shipping label, the tracking number is on it. You can go to USPS.com and track the package there! Kinda handy for those times that posh isn't updated. Hope this helps someone☺️❤️

I opened a case with USPS and called and went to my post office but they keep saying "give it another day" umm... the person ordered the item Monday night. muposh@paytonz_mommy I've only had one issue with USPS so far thankfully, but then again I haven't sold THAT much to give them more chances to screw up. All I can tell you from my one time issue was that at the end it did arrive, even though it was never scanned. They just updated their records once it hit the girls door in Hawaii, so you might be having the same issue. It arrived after the 2-3 day period too, so it was delayed. Maybe between Hawaii and other parts of US there's a delay.

For me all my packages were delivered but it was late. However what I'm dealing with now, is one of my items (worth $330) the buyer claimed it wasn't the size she purchased (they're double C's earrings so idk wtf) and got poshmark to approve the return....

They basically said sometimes they don't scan it but it may get scanned along the way. I tried to explain that I don't get paid unless it scans as there would be no proof. They didn't seem to care. I had a purse that was 8 lbs packaged up, bought an upgraded shipping label, took to post office and they said 21" x 12.5" x 9.5" was too big and they couldn't send w/o an addl' $47 surcharge. Contacted Posh support and talked with them 6 times and twice they didn't even read my detailed e-mails and the other 4 times they told me to just ship and post office wasn't wrong.

Also, I have a bundle that is going to be more then 10 lbs. Gow do you ship, when Posh had a 10 lb. max???? This is starting to get horrible. We are told this process should be "easy" I physically BROUGHT my packages to the PO but they didn't give me a receipt. I had no idea I was supposed to get one. I had no idea you had to physically get a receipt from the PO in order to have any recourse with them. I literally went into the PO to ship. Thought that was safest way to do it. Usually all of my packages don't show up on tracking until 10, 11pm when they are scanned at another facility. I can then view the initial acceptance scan. I hope Posh counts your first scan towards your shipping stats!

janiethecatYes, USPS website is updated, but not Poshmark. I get realtime texts from USPS. Last year it updated almost immediately. Now it's delayed a day or two. I don't want to be cynical, but that's longer Poshmark is holding funds. Do they make interest? If the amount of sales have increased, they need to adjust their site/app to keep up. Now I have to wait even longer for a refund. Package (return) was delivered hours ago, still no update.

sassandstyleSuper I'm having the same issue and when I type the tracking number from the labal into the USPS site, it also doesn't update. But you know what gets me?? I've reached out to Poshmark twice about this and have received not nary a reply. A canned reponse would be fine. Just acknowledge you're receiving your customers inquiries. Why bother having a method of contacting if you can't reply in 48 hours?

I can't believe this is happening to other people. I was sending someone my LV bag and I am so devastated. I feel bad for my customer and feel scared someone could have stolen it. As an LV lover I know I would be devastating if one of my bags were lost somewhere. I'm so pissed because nothing has been updated and now my stats for quickest delivery time is done. It's ridiculous. Prices for postage has gone up and services is becoming pathetic. I have really awful neighbors who would never return it if it arrived at their house but I imagine mail carriers doublecheck when dropping of packages/small packages envelopes. Two things you can do firstly where you receive the package in the app put that there was a problem when it asks for the reasoning type that in the box they SHOULD reimburse both you and the seller and then they will do an investigation. Now priority mail has a $50 insurance on it so if poshmark doesn't do anything call the usps customer service tell them about the package and everything they will give you the money . Keep me updated and ask if you have more questions

I printed the shipping label and dropped the package at my local post office. I've never had a problem with them. The status stills shows that the package hasn't been scanned. I just received an email from Posh reminding me to mail the package. I keep the buyer updated. It's sad to see that many PFFs are having trouble with USPS.

I emailed Poshmark again asking what happens if it doesn't look like I shipped the items once 7 days are up (even though it has been shipped). I am awaiting their response. I also filed a "Where is my package?" complaint with USPS and I asked them to not only find the package but to explain (if it is in route) why it hasn't been scanned anyway. I don't expect much remorse from them but it is worth a shot!

cola729Hello! I am having an issue with one of the items I have shipped. I shipped 3 items on Thursday. The tracking info for the first two showed up almost 48 hours from the time they were shipped. The third one however shows status pending until now and it's already the 4th day. I've been in contact with Poshmark and USPS regarding this. According to USPS, since the item is being shipped to the East Coast, it may take up to 7 days for the item to be delivered.

cola729@laverne99 Based on all the shipping I've done this past week, I now know that USPS is not big on scanning packages like UPS. I guess with UPS you pay for their tracking information. But with UPS it's more on delivery confirmation. I've had USPS pick up several packages at home this week. The first time I had 4 packages, and only 2 got scanned upon pickup. The other 2 took 24 hours before tracking info was available.

cola729@laverne99 Most of the items I have shipped had only 2 locations in the tracking info. One is 2 hours away from where I live and the next one is the actual city where the buyer lives. Unlike with UPS or FedEx where the tracking info provides you with all the "location/stops".

rachjones921I'm usually on the receiving end but my suggestion as a seller is to get a receipt and then take a photo and post it along with the pictures of the item sold. I've done that for trades since POSH isn't involved with trading just for peace of mind for the person i'm sending to.

krystlelovelyy@joannewilliams yes, I recieved a tracking comfirmation the next following day. I contacted poshmark and they told me that somtimes it does take 1-2 days for packages to be shipped. If it has been more than 48 hrs I would suggest by contacting poshmark but first ask your seller if they had shipped the package yet.

krystlelovelyy@joannewilliams no problem. I would give it few more days and if the seller is unresponsive then I would decide if I want to cancel the purchase. But first I would let poshmark give some suggestions and go from there. If anything, I wouldn’t let this purchase affect my experience from buying on this app. Hope all goes well for you!

artatbeechwoodI was wondering if you knew what happens in this situation.. I shipped two packages on Wednesday by simply giving them to my mail carrier. Neither package has updated with tracking numbers.. and now one buyer has cancelled their order. I am upset bc it seems that I am out my money and the two purses I shipped? What happens if the package does arrive to the buyer who cancelled? I have emailed Poshmark support numerous times but have yet to receive a real response 😔

lamaisonjaune@shoppatterns I just shipped 4 things and only 3 scanned !!! Am totally freaking out ! I’m new and these are my first sales :( just hope they get to the buyer safely :(

shoppatterns@sarahlaputa that's happened to me before. It arrived just fine. Just wait it out and if there's any problems or delays after 4 days from shipping date contact Posh. There's buttons you can use to help you get everything taken care of through posh.

ruesanfranciscoLooks like this thread was directed to @manish @tracy @lyann well over a year ago, yet here we sit. Making Posh 20% on every sale but getting zero assurances from them OR USPS. How extraordinarily upsetting. Have been physically taking packages to post where staff goes out of their way to avoid scanning. Even with a receipt confirming dropoff, packages routinely don't show up as accepted by them until 8-24 hours later. Is Posh cool with this?

ruesanfranciscoThis is a business platform and if any other company was experiencing SO many issues with a shipping service that was very well paid, wouldn't they address it? And change it? Sadly the focus seems to be on "new features" and "Posh Love!" free shipping deals- Diversionary garbage to cloud a root issue that has been repeatedly ignored. Please reach out to USPS, who makes a killing off our overpaid prices for delivery. We work for you...why don't you help us?
