5/$50 Vintage Alpaca Mexico Abalone and Mother-of-Pearl Earrings Pierced

Vintage Alpaca Mexico Abalone and Mother-of-Pearl Earrings: The design on the earrings is a Stylized Lotus flower. These vintage pieces are Mexican in origin, made with inlaid abalone and mother-of-pearl (MOP) shell set in a metal, such as alpaca silver.  Materials: The earrings feature iridescent abalone and white mother-of-pearl shell pieces that form the petals of the flower, set against a black background (onyx or enamel).  Origin: Handmade in Mexico and is characteristic of Mexican ethnic and regional style.  Design: The simple, elegant design is a common motif used in these types of vintage Mexican silver and shell inlay pieces.  * I polished them and they are shinier now
