goensshopping @alise28 Yes these attacks are very hard on me. It's so uncomfortable and I just lay down to telax. It's not that I'm worried or anything it's just a side effect of my Hashimotos. I was doing well for a few months and then I just relapsed about a month ago. Prayerfully I'll feel better again but I trust everything happens for a reason and for His glory in the end. Praying for your infirmities as well as everyone else's

goensshopping @blackbirdfly Yes I have. Didn't care for him though. I did got for almost a year and I had an ultrasound, they found 2 small nodules on my thyroid gland. Not big enough to have surgery. I stopped going because I couldn't afford 2 Drs. Short version. Ty anyways ☺️

blackbirdfly It seems like you need a 2nd or 3rd opinion. FWIW I didn't just tell them to kill the gland, the disease was making me very sick and I had no choice, the Drs had to act. I went thru lots of hospital tests. Graves' disease is different than Hashimotos in presentation.

goensshopping @blackbirdfly My the was normal, but low normal, I just need to take less of my cytomel. It's just crazy because it fluctuates so much for low to high all the time.

blackbirdfly I believe Cytomel only works on one, either TSH or T3, not both. You might want to look into that and I 100% recommend a new expert doc. You should not have to live like this.

goensshopping @blackbirdfly Yes it only works on t3. That's why I take it as an extra boost so I need to take a little less to get my t3 back to normal because that's the one that's high. Definitely going to be searching for one in the near future. It's just our insurance is super expensive and can't afford it right now 😕

divedelights3 So I know exactly what you're going through and anytime you want to chat please feel free to get in touch with me I have rheumatoid arthritis Psoriatic arthritis your autoimmune and I have Graves' disease was causes him thyroid conditions so I sympathize greatly with you and your be in my thoughts and prayers definitely I know exactly how you feel and everything you're going through they actually put me on chemotherapy to start to control some on my illnesses

Sorry that you're suffering from depression on top of everything else. I can most definitely relate! That feeling of not being in control of your emotions is just terrible (especially when you're with your kids & husband.) You don't want to hurt their feelings. U could ask the doctor if they can give u something to help w that.

goensshopping @jeanscenequeen I've tried anti depressants in the past, it actually was what they thought I had was chronic depression. But when I tried literally every anti depressant on the market and without it working, that's when I was sent to an Endocrinologist and finally was diagnosed with Hashimotos Disease. So it's my thyroid and nothing helps with the mood swings unfortunately. Ty so much for your kind words. 😇

I'm reading a book that I'm taking to my sister when I see her for her birthday. Has to do with managing hormones, which is tied to thyroid. Maybe an endocrinologist can help?

singaporejones Still looks good. 😊 You'd look cute with short 'n' curly too, if you think that'd be easier. Mine's about 3" past the shoulder now, but having it in a slightly messy, wavy cut was so simple, now that hair products are better (think grown-out layered pixie). Wash, dry for a few minutes, scramble in one of several products depending on the look I wanted, then forget about it the rest of the day!

We started dating the last 2 weeks of HS and got married less than a year later. Now since I've been chronically ill, he's been nothing but faithful and took over a lot of the responsibilities I had that I can't do anymore. That's why I'm so thankful and beyond blessed. mynahshine I actually am glad it's been my whole life. Because it's all I know even though I'm always exhausted and in some degree of pain, it's my normal. My grandma told me when I was about 15 don't get mad she was 100% Italian and I'm quoting here, " God won't give us more than we can handle. You must be a bad ass!" Lol I miss her!

nlewis_89 Thanks so much. It is odd how different things affect people so differently. I have a lot of joint pain and aches. I do have 2 questions if you don't mind 😊 I have read that a gluten free diet greatly helps. Have you found that to be true? And second...one symptom that doesn't seem to fit in anywhere is exercise intolerance. Like I know what "out of shape" feels like. But this is more than that. I get sick and completely can't do it. Does that happen to you?

For me though, it's way too hard, I have a single income family and it's really expensive. Also, the exercise issue, if you get sick, you're overdoing it physically. Your body has very small physical limitations. I have a hard time taking a shower, that's how bad I am. I don't leave my house anymore. Very rarely. I have big time anxiety and depression issues and exhausted 24/7.

You'll feel helpless, just surround yourself with supportive people. You will loose most of your friends bc they won't understand what you're going through but the people who stick around are your true friends. Keep as busy as possible without overdoing it, find a balance. Trust in God to get u through this🙏🏻😇

jayfrench @goensshopping Have you looked into LDN (low dose naltrexone)? I was doing research for a friend with Hashimoto's and came across it. Using naltrexone in low doses is a newer therapy. I just wanted to pass the info on as you never know what can help.

mcjayne @goensshopping Michell you are beautiful! I'm so sorry you are struggling with hashimotos, it's a frustrating disease I know. I had my thyroid removed for suspected hashimotos, but, alas, it was cancerous & aggressive, long story short, here I am! I battle a different cancer but I'm here to tell you that it does get better, it is so Annoying to have an "invisible" disease. Sometimes I think life would be easier to have a leg cast so people are more understanding hang in there love.🌹

goensshopping @gnrstreasures Oh no I'm so sorry sweetie. I take levothyroxine. I'm wondering if I should switch to synthroid. It's awful. Going to see an endocrinologist on Sept 13. Hopefully this one can somehow help me. I struggle with severe fatigue, anxiety horribly and depression. It's a tough road but I'm trying my best here. She said some hurtful things. I'm not sure why anyone would want to purposefully attack someone else's rules or just be to critical of how I run my closet. poshgranny @goensshopping I'm sorry to hear you have Hashimoto's😘 ... A friend of mine has it; she had to have eye operations because the thyroiditis had caused them to bulge; then we recently found out she has Asberger's. But she already raised her kids decades ago, so she can easily get all the extra rest needed for the Hashimoto's. I do hope you get some outside help taking care of your house, kids, shopping, etc. 💕💕 Thank you for all your support and shares💕.

goensshopping @poshgranny Thanks so much for your kind words. I thankfully have an amazing husband and kids that do everything for me. My youngest is 12. My 2 eldest are 20 and 18. Thankfully I started early, the Lord knew ahead of time. He sent me a wonderful husband who now has taken over the groceries and cooking. Cleaning the kids do, not great but better than nothing. I'm struggling with my eyes as well lately. They're constantly irritated. Just trying to get through each day.

astylerecycle Yes it is a prescription::a compound medicine that starts at low dosage -i.e.:1.0mg and add small amount each month until 4.mgs or 5. I have heard of no side effects except you cannot take opioids . It blocks opioids . Think positive! The cup is always half full 💌

72inches @goensshopping what I did was save all of my host pics under "my likes". When the party starts have two devices in front of you. Your phone and a tablet, laptop or a home computer. On one device, go to your my likes, start from the top or the bottom, click on an item, comment whatever you're going to say to the person, then share it to the party, and unlike it. Then you move on to the next item. Cont.

Using two devices makes it a lot easier than having to do all of that maneuvering on one. Don't share too fast. You have time.100 - 120 host picks is about 2 a minute. Cont.

I did go to a Posh meet up a little over a month ago, to try and push myself to socialize. It didn't end well. I had a meltdown and I'm so embarrassed. It's really sad. I used to be so social and different. I miss the old me.

Then I PRICE mine somewhere in the middle between the lowest and highest prices I see when I do the search 😊. Does that answer your question?

I have discovered the AIP (autoimmune protocol) and it's all about what to eat and what NOT to eat w/an autoimmune disorder... so far I have been on it 19 weeks and my meds were lowered from 137 to 125, so we're headed in the right direction!! dinofinder @goensshopping in fact my endo was so impressed with what was happening to me with the AIP, that she bought a book about it and sent it to her daughter at college!!! Google "Autoimmune Protocol" and the lists of foods will pop up... if you have any ??? just ask!!! I feel so much better! Biggest culprit is gluten, btw... idk if you are GF, but now I certainly am!!! All of the foods my son is allergic to (tested and literally) had to be eliminated from MY diet as well!!! Interesting 🤔

I don't know anything about it, but I follow a "natural" blog called Wellness Mama and she has stated she has that same disease. Her blog is mostly about her natural lifestyle, but she also posts things regarding her disease. I am right there with you on the trial after trial lately...idk what is going on! After YEARS of suffering with no doctor in several states who could even diagnose me, I finally got some answers last may and started treatment. Very slow progress at first but then I started making big strides by the end of the year.

litte_elegance It was the first time I felt hope in over 3 years. , I really thought I was finally through the worst part, and I could actually get to a place of "managing" the disease rather than having it control my life. Then I just spiraled down in the course of 1 month, and ended up hospitalized in December. Turns out our "new" home had black mold, we had to tear out our entire kitchen. So now I have toxic black mold exposure, all that progress lost :(

In the meantime I am back to living in a bed. It is difficult to understand God's plan in all of it, the depression is suffocating sometimes. goensshopping @litte_elegance Oh no, I'm so sorry too. I wonder about mold too sometimes in my house. I didn't get sick until after I moved in here. But idk I've thought of everything under the sun of what I could do. Everything just feels so overwhelming. I do hate to see others struggle like myself. Because we truly know how you feel when no one else does unless they're going through it. You can't put it into words and it hurts when you're not believed. I'm here 4 u as well

shopofthemoment @goensshopping are you gluten free? That's a huge part of why I'm feeling so much better. Although I did manage to poison myself the other day with salad dressing. Have been suffering migraines for the last week because of that one. Check out hypothyroid mom on Facebook. And Dr Kha.... can't remember how to spell the name. But search thyroid and put that part in and it should come up. Keep your head up! It gets better [and worse but then better again] 💋

goensshopping @shopofthemoment No I haven't gone gluten free and I know I need too. I just got this book in the mail about Hashimotos by Izabella Wentz. I just have to read it and definitely get serious about making better choices. It's just so hard to start. You know how it is, a vicious cycle of wanting to but don't bc of the fatigue and lack of any sort of motivation. I just need to get over that hump. It's going to b tough but I know I have too.

I have a homeopathic doctor and I don't go for blood tests all the time etc. I take high dose iodine and vitamin supplements. That's it. But he did a whole bunch of other stuff to me in the beginning.

shopofthemoment I've been a vegetarian for a long time. Was vegan for a while. Raw vegan briefly. Best I've felt in decades when I was raw. Do it! Just start little by little cutting stuff out. Start with gluten. You'll be so happy you did! Smooches 💋

Thank you for sharing your story on here. It empowers people who have autoimmune disorders--those of us who don't "look" sick, but suffer with painful difficulties (physically, mentally, and emotionally) nonetheless. ❤️

I was lost for so many years. I finally had my miracle child in 2013, and it's been challenging, but so rewarding...
