@kiarasruth yes I have a 3 year old, almost 2 year old, and 7 month old π³ haha
Both the 3 years old and 2 year old are potty trained. I actually took a potty training class and my son was potty trained in a week! My daughter took longer just because I was lazy and didn't really stick to it until recently. I can definitely give you some pointers if you'd like! I will definitely pray for you, it can be a rough stage π

@kiarasruth that's exactly how you pronounce it :) you should definitely look into a class! The method I used was honestly the only one I've heard of that worked really well and quickly. My friends that tried it had no problems with potty training and the ones that didn't took forever and were frustrated. I'll comment below with the main points

@kiarasruth so number one is it has to be an all the time, focused on them thing. Whenever you're at home let them run around butt naked. I know, there will be accidents on the floor and the first 3-4 days are ROUGH! But stick with it! They have to know what it feels like to have an accident and how unpleasant it can be.

@kiarasruth Don't do rewards. Going on the potty is a life skill they need to know, not something to be rewarded for. In fact, when they have an accident, have them help clean it up.
Play with it, make it a topic of conversation. My daughter has this doll (dolly ;) that she carries everywhere. So the potty would be out and I would say "oh I think dolly has to go potty!"

@kiarasruth Caeris would get a big grin on her face and put her doll on the potty. Then I'd say "Caer Bear's turn! And she would sit on the potty. Even if they don't have to go, you need to get them sitting on it. This is a better tactic than constantly asking "do you need to go potty?"
Eventually (and much quicker than other methods) they do learn what it feels like when they need to go!

@kiarasruth lol girl I know!! It's not easy and it's not fun! But stick to it for a couple days and you will see a difference! They are smart little things and pick up quickly ππ I'm here if you need to vent or freak out or share any celebrations! π
And we love Denver! It's beautiful. But we've also been here most of our lives and are thinking about the east coast...

@kiarasruth I let her go all day. I didn't have a timer. I tried to stay home as much as possible during those first few days. During nap time I put a diaper on her but once she was up it was off again. At least spend the whole morning or whole afternoon on it. I know it's nerve wracking...
We are thinking Maryland! My husband has family and friends up there. We love DC and Baltimore

Yeah same here! We love our church family and friends! There's lots to do but Denver is getting so crowded that everything is always busy! We went to the children's museum just this morning and it was fun but it was crazy packed!

@kiarasruth β¬οΈ and as far as your question, I don't think you need to make him do it right after. That one always takes a little longer. They just have to do it on the potty before they finally get it. Just get him sitting on it as often as you can :)

Do you live in NC or SC? We were actually looking at houses in Charlotte NC.. It's beautiful! Really leaning towards the Carolina's π
