Hi pffs!!!❤️ I am home from the magical place of Alaska, and slowly catching up with Posh. I preface this with saying I have been blessed to have been to so many places on our planet, and never have I laid eyes on anything that even comes close to the beauty of Alaska. If anyone gets the opportunity to go, I highly highly recommend. Go in May or beginning of June. I saw so many whales, eagles, dolphins, and bears, I can't even count. I suggest you take Holland American also. 👍🏻🐋🐳

kimsthings @jenniferrlee 😃🐳🐳🐳🐳 we are going end of May. My parents have decided to join us on the same cruise which will be nice ❤️ I have always wanted to go to Alaska. I had such a rough year this last year, that we decided to go for it 😃 it is by far the most expensive (with exception of Australia) that I have ever planned!!!🙀🙀🙀🙀 and I even spent 9 days in Europe once. They get you on Alaska gf. Lol!!!!! 💗💗💗💗😘😘😘😘

kimsthings @gordomom 😃 any suggestions? We only pre booked one shore excursion so far. It's a helicopter to glaciers then to a dog mushing camp to learn to mush our own team of dogs!!!😃😃😃 we are trying to decide what excursion to do in Juneau?

gordomom I heard that you can go to an eagle sanctuary but I can't remember is that was from Juneau. Mendenhall Glacier is pretty to see and you can do some hiking in that area. Let me think about what else we did. Oh, we did a pretty hike from Ketchikan. I can check on the name of you'd like the info. So many pretty places there. Definitely dress warmly for Glacier Bay. I wore fleece + down + a hat and gloves and I was still freezing even tho it was sunny. 💝

lacie510 This is a fantastic trip. Went on my honeymoon and I did it again after my husband suddenly died. Went on what was our wedding anniversary for the first anniversary after he died. While I was still in a fog I'm glad I did it. Would take it again in a heartbeat. Have a fantastic time. We got married May 23

Another of my friends here on Posh lost her husband and love of her life as well. I am in awe of her strength and courage and wisdom. lacie510 What cruise line are you going on? Enjoy it all. I dragged my husband to each photo session they had (I'm an RN and a photographer) At the last photo session there was a long line. After a while I told him we did not need to stay ...but he said he wanted to stay. Turned out they were b/w photos (I love b/w) and out of all the photos we had my most favorite of all was one of the ones taken last.

classyvintage My daughter lives in Juneau and my son Tim runs the crew in Hoonah if you stop there that gets the tourists in . Longest zip line in the world if you are up for a thrill. Personally you couldn't pay me enough to go on those things lol. Have a great time Kim!

fccandles @kimsthings the Mosquitos up there take so much blood from you they give you juice and a cookie afterward!! That one will take your breath away! Probably where your last pic w/ the whales was taken! The last time I was there...6 bald eagles..1 whale 20 feet from our 15 foot boat! We were just fishing!

kimsthings @fccandles 😨😱ok, so I discovered something not many ppl know. Cat nip is the most effective mosquito repellant in the world. I have blood type O neg, so they really love getting me!!😢 the cat nip works!!!!!!!! But, it looks like pot??? Airport security will arrest me for sure? Lol lol. Maybe I get some nip in Vancouver 😂😂😂😂😂😘

kimsthings @softball_2017 😃hi. I just made it to Vancouver last night!! All day flying to get here. The ship takes off today at 4 ish. It goes up inside passage to Skagway and Sitka the most north it goes. I can't wait to see the beauty of a state I have always dreamed of seeing!!💕💕💕💕💕💕😃😘

kimsthings @fccandles 😃 it was truly magnificent. I'm not sure? We went to so many places.... Constant stimulation. The most northern city we stopped at was Skagway. From Skagway, we boarded a helicopter to tour the mountains and landed on a glacier where there was a true dog mushers camp. We got to learn to mush our own team. It was so beautiful. Glacier bay was other worldly too
