rmccouture@cali_gal It can't hurt! This ring is really amazingly beautiful! I have a raw ruby ring up. I had no idea what it was until I took it to a jeweler. It's good to make friends with one, for several reasons including the possibility that the gold price will sky-rocket again! I would start with the metal testing kit though. If they're not set in sterling (or platinum, which you can also test for with acid from a kit) then there's no point in having them appraised...

rmccouture@cali_gal Thrift stores are the best place to find amazing jewelry and other vintage fashion. I've bought tons of Bakelite for plastic prices at thrift stores, along with precious metals and gems. Most of the time, they just assume that something that's donated to them is costume because if it were real, it wouldn't be donated!

cali_gal@rmccouture Exactly! Love my thrift spots! But I'm not selling much at all the past few months so I need to make sales and get the rest of my closet done before I do more thrifting. Not sure why my sales are low... I'm doing everything I can to have good pics, share, connect, get HPs, share more etc etc. ((Sigh))

rmccouture@cali_gal I don't know why you wouldn't be selling more. You have an awesome closet! I don't think that HPs help sales. Actually, I think only one of the items in my closet that got an HP sold... Sharing is definitely key; and making connections. Idk if you are in any of the fb groups. They seem to be able to generate sales, but I don't have the stamina to keep up with fb groups and posh...

rmccoutureThe other thing that has worked for me is not allowing my ego to get bent when someone low-balls me. I usually write them back, and tell them that I cannot go low on such-and-such an item, but I have wiggle room on other things, so if the potential buyer wants to bundle, I can give a better deal. That has been a bit successful. Do you sell on other sites?

rmccouture@jennifernora32 I have a brain injury from a car accident I was in in March 2014. Among other things, it affects my short term memory. I feel like I read somewhere in your closet that you are into gems. Am I making that up? If I'm not, I know that you can appreciate the quality of this goldstone, and how unusual and kind of mystical it is. If I'm making it up, ignore and take pity on my noggin'!

jennifernora32@rmccouture Hi . I am sorry for your accident. I am very happy you are doing well. I was injured while working a flight and ruptured a disc in my lower back. I have endured many surgeries and procedures. And fight this daily. But I am a Strong Woman. And oh yes My gem collection is fabulous. Pop in sometime. I totally understand the value of this piece. Didnt know if you had any wiggle room. Its not my size but I could just look at it for hours. . Like looking into the Heavens. .

If not, you might consider speaking with an attorney. I loathe them, but in some situations, they do actually help. I wouldn't say I'm doing well... but I'm doing the best I can do each day, and it has to be enough! Keep me posted on your surgery and health! Sending ❤️‍ and light your way...

jennifernora32Thank you Amanda. I've used the Attorney for my Work Comp claim. This particular problem is under personal Ins. And they claim it to be experimental. It is really all tied together due to the fusions. But. Its like dissecting parts and trying to repair bit by bit. I understand completely what you said about Doing our Best....💖💖 Happy to meet you.
