drea_m@bay707blue hi there! I think they would fit comfortably! I'm a size 8 and usually wear 39 in Valentinos so an 8.5 would best fit a 39.5/40. As you can see, I still wore these just fine as a size 8 with no problems so they will fit you much better ๐
