A wonderful two piece suit from Davidow, a company started in the late 1800s that evolved into one of the nicer suit houses on Fifth Avenue. This is a dark taupe with a slight tint of olive to it in a hopsack material. The jacket sports a seaming detail on the top that echoes the pocket detail at the bottom or the jacket. Classic skirt with pleating at the waist, the jacket is finished with bound buttonholes, labor intensive but always a sign of quality. In very good condition, perfect for those take no prisoner movie queens of the 1940s! No size is given, however it fits my mannequin so probably close to a modern 8. The jacket almost fits me, I usually buy a 10 or 12 but does not meet across the chest. The skirt is a 29" waist so it's a little larger than most vintage of this era.
