The reasons fingers "turn green" is not because of the jewelry - it is normally because the wearer has a mild metal allergy and is sensitive to a particular metal which creates the "turning green" affect. If you've had that happen before you will more than likely experience it for the rest of your life if you continue to wear metals that bother your skin.
