This beautifully handcrafted costume is one of a kind. Each faux scale was hand sewn on and painted. Top is made with authentic seashells, and is also embellished with faux pearls and sparkly rhinestones. Top is a VS swim top (great support) that can fit 36c/34d approximately and bottom can fit small/medium. This costume is sure to stand out and we can promise no one will have the same one !

shnnon90 @tsammet sorry girl I wish I could! But between the price of the top and skirt (not even including embellishment) I'd be losing money. Not to mention all the time I spent hand sewing each individual scale and shell on.

shnnon90 @tsammet the skirt is like a stretchy jean material (very flattering, hugged my body perfectly, good quality) and I actually used a new VS bathing suit top, and we all know how pricey they are lol but that made the top fit great.

shnnon90 @tsammet yeah it's underwire, but vs technically measured me at a 34dd and I still fit this top lol and I got the shells from the beach and also a craft store, as well as the pearls (they're not real of course, that would make the costume a whole lot more expensive lol)

shnnon90 @mruggiere that's the expensive part. Between the price of the actual skirt and each individual hand sewn "scale", I wouldn't feel comfortable charging under 150 for it

shnnon90 @sunrise7 you surely have the right to your own opinion, but I am the only one who knows how much time and effort I put into it. There are cheap looking mermaid costumes selling for 190 on some sites, so I have decided that I don't want to accept anything less for a customized one of a kind handmade embellished costume that I slaved over for over 2 weeks straight. If that price is too high for you, you're more than welcome to go buy one at your local party city. Thanks for your input though 😊

shnnon90 @bfgoodenough aw thanks. The top is a bathing suit top with shells and assorted embellishments, then for the bottom you can either make a midi pencil skirt or use a pre made one. I then cut the individual scales out of felt, and hand sewed them on. Very tedious, but if you're ambitious you can do it
