I’ve always been obsessed with thrift stores. From my rock & roll days styling bands in the 90’s… to a single mom in the 2000’s…I used vintage materials to deconstruct and reconstruct tender pieces… when the economy tanked I simply started selling my wardrobe. Which kept me in buying mode. As it unfolded I built a following of women that were my similar size and loved my vibe. Which further transformed into selling totally stylized looks. Poshmark makes this super easy and gives me access to a great community of resellers and buyers… I’ve been a fan since 2013. I’m a brand ambassador and I love the Promote My Closet option! I found that there were more crafters that wanted to share and trade ideas...I was in the process of trying to let go of The Retro Hippie so I can branch off in other directions. So I’d advise you to post to your posh stories at least one per day. People love video so add some to your listings. If you have social add to that too… posts, stories, reels… other than that looks great! How have your sales been? I also love “Promote My Closet” it’s great for sales and running your closet like a real store! 🤩

hoarderhavenon Etsy 4 years, Ioved it bc they encourage you to be creativel&tell the story behind every item you sell. terribly strict. If it wasn't vintage or handmade they would shut your store down and eventually they did permanently. I was definitely part of the hippie generation having lived in the Haight-Ashbury in the summer of love 1967 I was 21. theretrohippie@hoarderhaven what an interesting share! I’ve sold on Etsy as well…more for my digital art. It’s tricky and you have to catch their algorithms so it takes a lot of work…once you master it they change the algorithms. I agree the indigenous hippies are fading as well, but I have faith in a revival of sorts from our younger generations. The music & culture of rock & roll will never be rebirthed, but some things are meant to stand alone! Best wishes to you and yours…
