It should definitely be ok through shoulder and arms and I'm positive it would be fine when worn open, but since everyone's bust, midsection & hips are proportioned differently I'm going to give you the measurements of the coat when buttoned up and laid flat on the sofa.. Armpit to armpit measures approx 20" .. That band design at the waist measured across flat is approx 18" ... And then I measured across the center of the bottom pockets laying flat at approx 20" across . Hope that helps! Lmk if any more questions.. I just don't want to say yes it will or no it won't fit since everyone is different :)
