astylistscloset @belladior here's to you! Thank you for the informative info and for helping me hopefully stop an illegal seller claiming authentic bags. I almost bought one. Not on here but they are everywhere. Even where you least expect them to be.

I was a buyer for years until I started working in the counseling field for behavior. One thing I wasn't familiar with was how indepth Chanel is . Past to present.

astylistscloset Btw...since the year 2000. LV sac plat now has 2 open pockets inside. The ones I'm the years prior will not have pockets and are considered vintage.🌟new news🌟

astylistscloset @charlainec the model number or date code on LV's are heated printed into the bag itself. Not on a tag. @belladior you want to help me with this one too. Sometimes bags will have it painted on...and that's not what I mean. It needs to be heat printed inside the bag, usually in a specific spot depending on the model. Gucci it's heat printed into a leather tag on my bag. (And I bought it at the Gucci store) LV's can be tricky tho' bc of different models. Can u tell us what bag?

chloepiece There's actually an exception (maybe even a couple) to those 3 rules: the discontinued Looping bag. All three sizes - grande, medium, and mini - have zipper pockets as well as date codes on leather tabs. But the Medium Looping in particular also has a cell phone pocket (the GM might have one too, but not sure). I know because I have the MM and, trust me, it's absolutely authentic! Just FYI 😊

astylistscloset @charlainec don't quote me, but I believe it's hear mounted into a leather tag on the inside of the bag. Usually on a seam, out of sight.

belladior @charlainec @astylistscloset well first. The largest is a speedy 40. The most popular I. My opinion is the speedy 35. A speedy 30 is one above the 25. The date code SHOULD BE on the inside of the bag where the circular hardware is that holds the straps onto bag. Hope this helps???!!!!!!

astylistscloset @deamerlyn omg that's so wrong if she actually told you it was authentic and tried to sell you this bag I would have a serious talk with her. On my end, I'm at my wits end with scammers at the moment.....I have a borrow wear and return issue. This is my second one. It's where a buyer pays for your clothing, wears it out, and then stains it or damages it, and then returns it. It's like did you not read the sign in my closet that tells you exactly where to go.....bye bye! No entrance! OY! Well I'm glad she told the truth now and you didn't have this as an issue. The truth I never have an issue with regardless of authenticity. Honesty....is all I ask.

(see from posts below listing) Also another thing to add that's not on the list is since the year 2000, they began adding interior pockets into the Sac Plat. I was the founder of this missing info via another LV piece on About.com. Listen, I'm not a specialist, nor claiming to be one at all!!! -I'm nearly passing on a little info to help others in question like myself at the time, who was about to buy a bag. I found this within hours of my final bid on an eBay LV sac plat bag. I then looked up the info myself on other pages to compare & to correlate the numbers vs the models and dates. This is so informative as a general guide. This post via another posher saved me several hundred dollars!💖I'm 4•ever great-full! How could I not share in hopes of someone feeling the same as me! Helping someone save their hard earned money! 👼 "Sharing is caring" kids say, and .it's true.😊 So, to negate your accusation of this being "not true." I'm going to inform you it's very true its is just lacking information. As time changes, so does information and bags and, as does this listing. I believe knowledge is power, and sharing a listing from another posher who researched this one through LV, as a general guide, is caring about others and doing everyone a great service who may be in the market for buying an auth bag. As you can see, idk some questions and I admit to it, and I refer the question to someone whom may or may not know the answer. Your bag isn't anymore authentic than this listing. They both were just made in different times that's all. So, please add and educate to us this info on your bag! If you knew something but didn't say it after reading this then youd obviously be someone who really doesn't care about others, and i see thats not the case here with you.👍🌹Authenticity issues have become a huge concern for online buyers and very prevalent now a days, so your input is also valued, as with anyone who wants to help add to this listing. Again, of course updates are needed, this is an open discussion, and WE WANT info! Doesn't everyone who could be a potential victim to replica buying? Thats unless your replica searching and thats your prerogative and this listing still may be of interest to you as a consumer. Just bc someone owns a replica bag doesn't make them anymore untrue of a person than the next person! People own both and they too may enjoy this! Its just a basic guide for concerned Poshers to utilize, comment on, and ask questions who are looking for an authentic bag online and need a little help. It's scary! I'd hate to be scammed. Quite frankly, I actually found this quite interesting as to why I copied and pasted it on my page. I can't wait until my friend finally finishes a Chanel one. Oh and a much needed one on shoes!!! I've been authenticating Louis Vuitton for 21 years, and would hate for someone to read that and take it as truth. The 2nd picture is ok- but it is outdated in the Date Code Location Letters. Feel free to come to my closet and look through all the postings- they are all filled with valuable information that I've given & helped other Poshers. If you ever need help with LV items and their authenticity, feel free to ask☺

Also too make sure anyone on here you spend that much money with has a good selling history. Ask if its okay if you get it authenticated after purchase. (Posh only allows refunds within 72 hours.) tsteele872 Here is what the Date Code means: V.I.(France)0931 - made in March of 1991 -VALID/ however I can't stress enough that just because the Date Code is valid, that does NOT mean that the piece is authentic!!

Seeing how I do this for free ( and most services are $20 and up per item) I felt it was in bad taste to do so & be asked to do so.
