chopjaz @paulag I am not sure how to measure so this is what I can tell you. From where your foot lays to the bottom of the heel measures 5". They don't seem like a 5" heel. I returned a shoe that was too high because I couldn't walk in it. Let me know if that helps.

paulag I'm like you are...I can't wear a 5" heel! I'm not crazy about a 4", but... I guess the next question is how tall is the platform at the front of the shoe?? If it's an inch...then the heel is probably a 4".
