mallorymarie88 @polkadotdrawer I'm so sorry :( so far I haven't and I'm really hoping I won't. I try to be really selective and only trade items that I wouldn't be devastated if I lost and got nothing in return. I am definitely going to cut down on the trading though as I have been hearing horror stories. So sad that people are dishonest :(

mallorymarie88 @ellevee I typically look at things that have sold in their closet for 0$. That means that is an item they traded. I would read the comments to see if the person got the item they were trading for and possibly even contact the person they traded with if I was super worried. I'm sure you will be okay.

polkadotdrawer @ellevee Pretty much what @mallorymarie88 said! Because PoshMark isn't really involved in a trade, there is no penalty if the other person just decides to not send your stuff :( You are basically trusting them to send what they say they will and hope for the best. This is why Posh doesn't support trades and won't help you out if the person just decides to not send your stuff and keeps what you sent them. 99% of Poshers are awesome and wonderful women! But trading will always be a gamble, make sure it's something you can stand to lose!

I mean how does one get screwed over by putting something on hold? Makes me reconsider putting stuff on hold for people now :/ seems like u just never know! :/

polkadotdrawer @ellevee Person A puts something on hold, "I promise I will buy it next week! You have my word". Person B comes along wanting to buy it, you tell them it is reserved and turn them away. Person C comes along, loves the item, and wants to buy it today, but you turn them away to keep your word to Person A. Then Person A decides they actually don't want it after all / can't afford it... or they just completely ignore the messages you tag them in :( It has happened to me quite a lot lately, very very frustrating!

ellevee @polkadotdrawer Oic! Idk if this will help, but I've seen some people only give "24 or 48 hour" holds. Seems pretty fair. I think I might start implementing that. Seems fair on both sides...especially for those honest people 😊 Thank u again for the info :)
