girlfriendsgift@briannaorbust It has a center zipper compartment. Not sure how many books you are looking to use this bag to carry or the weight for that matter. It's a nice sturdy bag but I wouldn't overload it with books. I carry the other python bag in a different color and I use that to carry my Bible study books and materials and it's held up well.
