Set of 5 Quartz Rock Mineral Specimens made of various crystalline forms and sizes. The 2" purple Amethyst likely came from Brazil and has yellow gold plating on the base and was sawn down the middle by the lapidary so is probably a tourist specimen that they repurposed from scrap. The other 4 specimens I personally found and recovered from the Wheaton River Valley gold district from Chieftan Hill located in the Southern Yukon when I worked 1997-1998 as a claims manager and field geologist for a mining company that owned the claims. The largest specimen measures at 5.5" and is semi massive with multiple crystals with a remnant of rhyolite matrix on the base. There is a 4" lumpy botryoidal specimen and a 3" pseudomorph cockscomb quartz after angel wing calcite and a 3.5" pseudomorph quartz after spar calcite. These are in as found condition with some handling marks except for the amethyst as described.
